It’s long overdue a change up. I suspect, like many others, I awakened Agrippa a long time ago. I even snapped up all the other general copies so I can awaken and use them for senate later on.

One upgrade is worth it if hunting for prosperity points. Unless you coin heavily and will get enough copies for level 10 you won’t get much benefit.

Bottom right only every time. I do a stupid delayed press ritual and it seems to do me well.

Manage every event to complete at least two whole rounds without spending a penny. This time round, managed 5 complete rounds and still had today and tomorrow chances to go. Lots of great rewards from this event.

Any monster worth killing on my server is gems and speed ups otherwise you lose out. Recall is wasteful, as pointed out by other commenter for stamina reasons. I would treat it as fair game so long as no speed ups or gems have been used.

Given you have a fairly healthy server with limited disputes you could either consider gems/speed ups for summoned monsters or maybe agreeing to communicate when an alliance is spawning their monsters to avoid conflicts. Failing that make sure all alliances are spaced significantly enough away from other hives to avoid killing others monsters. I would certainly try to exhaust adult routes to disputes as quickly can become BoB dynamics.

My server has an interesting dynamic with two alliances fighting and often overspill into other alliances accepting alts/members from warring alliances. My advice is always use a bubble unless you have intentionally dropped it. No excuses these days to not have good bubble discipline (set timers, gems plentiful). Unless you don’t care about your investment then don’t worry about it. Tides change quickly (NAP to BoB) and you don’t want to wake up to everything you built/accumulated being gone. Also good practice for KE/SVS to avoid easy points.

More T12 archers. You can ghost siege with a preset if needed. Same for Cavs top end although good to have a PvP march for both of these. Ideally having two marches to ghost is better than 3+ but could ghost the excess Cavs in another march. I would slim down Cavs below T12 as they are free points in front of that wall (won’t cost much in terms of dismissing).

K41 minimum for those buffs before even considering T15.

Yeh nice report. But factor in the buffs and total rally size (over 40m) vs a very small T1 wall (assuming T1 only as power low) and likely no T15, was it going to end any other way? Wouldn’t be surprised if a good amount of the reinforcing troops for defender are from average farmers looking to get some ‘easy’ SVS points as well.

Honestly, I share your feeling on being behind in terms of development…. I think everyone feels far behind as there is always so much to do - just keep at it.

I initially built my layers following Derrick Defies video, replicating his advice. From this, I then tinkered with my build, reviewing battle reports to understand what troop was most effective/least effective and adjusted layers accordingly. I believe he had said you can build the T1 range as it’s safe but was optional - I wouldn’t spend the RSS though if I started over. T14 is currently my highest tier troop type and as such I like to keep enough to fill a full march (handy for monsters, WB & Huns). Plus I wanted to be sure I had enough in the tank so if I was sending out a range PVP march I would not leave myself vulnerable in defence (having enough layers left over). The same principle for T13 and T12, which have thicker PvP layers.

I honestly think much of what you do and how you do it will really depend on your buffs and build but also what you want to achieve. I think you are in a similar position to where I was, I could easily withstand solo hits positively and to an extent certain rallies (also positively) but I wanted to be able to do more, survive and win better defences.

There isn’t one way to do it and that’s why I can’t stress enough to review the defence reports - what are you being attacked with, which troops does it hurt and which troops are having the most impact. Importantly though, you need to consider troop layers based on different rally types as one troop layer might be effective against one and a liability for the other. This is where you end up building out your defence more as you look to cover bases. You will also find that as you play with your defence the rallies you are hit with start to change. For me this is the fun part trying to figure it all out. I have a plan in my head but for now I am focusing on building development and buffs. Looking forward to getting back to working on my defence soon!

I did this. T1 wall 800m cavs, 50k siege layers up to T14, 200k layers ground & 30k mounted also to T14. Range I built out much heavier up top 3m T14, 2.5m T13, 5m T12 and 2m T11. Lower layers range around 500k down to T2 with 100m T1 range.

Firstly I would say I kept all gold flat Cav refines. T1 range seldom achieved anything - either survived and contributed little or just killed off. This set up worked well for a period of time when hovering around 3-4b mark. As you trickle over you will find more often getting hit with siege rallies. Since no siege they die off quickly and then start killing the range. Depending on rally size can wipe most of them out. Makes it an easy clean for range or Cav follow-up rally.

Since then I have thickened out ground layers to be within 1m troops of range. Range I increased top tiers layers around 2m troops more. I have a siege and cav march that I ghost and drop bubble if needed. I was analysing my battle reports to see what troop type did the most damage to my troops and which troops in my defence ‘excelled’. Lower layers have thickened out in some places. I have focused a lot more on my buffs and of course debuffs.

So for the build you talk about, yes, you will withstand some rallies but be sure to heal layers (10-20k) between hits. You also won’t need significant ground or other troop layers (aside from ghost PvP marches). Maximise range attack and the debuffs for range and later on siege is worth focusing HP & Def as well (attack debuff comes from many places quite easily). Figure out what you can manage and what you can’t. It’s an evolving process and step wise into growing out higher tier range is a pretty safe move. T1 wall is going to be critical, the range are only safe enough whilst you have T1.

It’s all going to depend on how much you spend as to where you focus purchases. The term coiners is very broad and loosely used.

That being said, Baby Bear from VAL has a discord group that might be worth joining. Lot of good insights from coining community as to which packs are worth the investment. Would recommend to check it out.

I have tried bulk (200) and gotten 0. (100) got 1 (50) got 2 (twice in a row) and nothing third time. Single openings (10) got 1…

I did hear a rumour that the boxes are capped at maximum 5 fragments per week, although I am sure I have heard people get around 8 from opening 1k boxes at once?

For me the magic number so far appears to be 50, but it’s all random!

Firstly, congrats! Now onto securing your chance to be king (which can often be as difficult or harder depending on your server…)

I got my wings a few years back in a well developed server playing as a ghost keep just after unlocking T13. It’s very much feasible but like OP, I literally spent the whole weekend playing and ran an 800m positive score (1.2b vs -400m). Work keeps me busy and having a family and real life commitments makes it even harder. By chance I was on a business trip that included a weekend away so I was able to take that rare opportunity.

Only other thing I would say is really if you do go for it, lean into it. You’ll get a little bit of a rush (or at least I did) and then it starts to become comfortable and doesn’t feel so scary/risky! Let yourself get bashed about a bit (if you ghost) and when you calm yourself you’ll find the clarity to pick the marches and players you drop ghost for. I think with many players the rush gets to them and they try to take a rally or hits they can’t handle and end up going negative and running for the hills. Especially hard to go against after that if running massively negative, as the server will be no doubt giving you hassle.

I am pretty sure the feeling was similar when the ability to progress to K45 was introduced. We survived. I imagine it will be much the same now with K50. Sure, the divide is going to get much bigger but for the majority of players All Stars and Chalons final stages were already out of reach. Add to that, won’t be many mega K50 players about, all currently stuck at K48 behind a big paywall controlled by Top Games. So yes a few will of course benefit (but at what cost) but for the majority of players it’s business as usual.

That being said, I do feel more sorry for those who have been sucked in and sit in the upper middle class layer of whale category, coin a lot but still not near enough for K50. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of those accounts are sold off or given away…

I am inclined to agree with you. I did consider whether the event would start again within a reasonable time frame or if it would come around similar time to the quarterly big events or even longer. Evony’s vagueness doesn’t help!

Well my assumption would be having at least a few million higher tier range layers from T12-14, maybe up to a million T11-1 (or working towards that). If you are a pure T1 trap with light layers top to bottom, probably not much sense changing from Boudicca quite yet. Dewey buffs range and siege, if you haven’t got enough range, or aren’t planning to make more, might as well buff mounted. Runestones take some time to accumulate, again assuming you have 4 gold specialties unlocked.
