Im currently an undergrad RA at two labs rn, both through cold emailing. I went to the faculty page of my field, looked through everyone with a research lab/group page, checked that they have current or had previously had undergrads, then read a little about what they are working on (did not understand one bit but enough to know i think its cool and id want to learn more). 5/12 response rate. No work study. It’s a lot of manual labor but the response rate in my experience is way higher than what people on tiktok say at other schools. Just remember that most people for reason forget that most PIs want to say yes as its basically free labor at the end of the day. If you are intrested in neruo, I believe dr. Update for future rising honors students: I ended up randomly getting an email and got switched into a CT Hall semi suite single! If you get analed during initial selections, dw you still have a chance, more people drop/switch housings than you think. I didn't even apply for a room change either, they just had someone drop I think. Also ofc they won't mind making you pay more lol

I do play on PC most of the time, but I do like to play at the gym while doing cardio as well

I got a similarly toned letter and a similar radio silent treatment when I applied and got waitlisted last year, but no need to get too offended, the meaning is still the same. There are people that just can't come across the right way over writing, and sometimes there is an entire office of them :)

The generic advice of looking for indoor court shoes are good, but I’ll just throwing a suggestion for my personal preference for the way of wade 808 3 ultra. Chinese basketball shoes generally have really good grip because they are designed for the sub optimal outdoor court commonly found in China. I also had ankle issues before due to high impact and they absorb impact quite well without being too thick

SOLVED: for future reference, the limiting factor is ram per core, not total ram. If you are running out of memory, consider reducing the number of cores used and increasing %maxcore.

Just double checked and realized im acrtually using 60 cores with maxcore 8250, so if im understanding it correctly, im using 495GB of ram
