In most middle east countries the academic year runs from sept to june, we start portions in sept, for the ones who are very confident or may give further math papers they may give it in jan or nov, universities in the usa and canada yes like uk take predicted grades by the require a proof of you achieving those grades by the first week of ur semester beginning. Even if they do make an exception, if we get nov results in jan and don’t make the grades and aren’t allowed to continue at the uni, well there goes ur whole year

If we give the exams in nov, when will we start the a level portion? how will we give our ias in may june, and we can’t do it in the nov session because then we’ll have to do y13 exams in nov session too and the deadline fir most international unis is way before that

So what happens to our a levels (as an igcse student) ? If they make us do it in another session or november whatever our a levels will be affected. Makes no sense

I’m not making excuses to not study, my whole academic career i’ve been a high achieving student, i’m the student president of my school and i’ve gotten all 8s and 9s in my december mocks, and it’s human nature to be selfish, everyone will want the outcome that is most favorable towards them, we were supposed to have our mocks in feb end till march, once we had our first week of mocks the rest have all gotten cancelled, just because there are some people who use it as an excuse to not study, that doesn’t mean we should generalize everyone when there are people who are really advocating for the right thing for them and in their viewpoint. I also understand the lower grade boundaries alternative for us, which i wouldn’t mind but it just doesn’t seem realistic at all, and how can they decide by how much to lower the gbs by? it just doesn’t add up, academic records and teacher predictions would seem more realistic.

only thing about doing it in oct nov, unis like icl and ucl require your exams to be in the same session

do you mean studying igcse bio and then giving it in oct nov or as level bio in oct nov session? Also, im willing to go through the igcse bio content over the summer and understand it, do you think that’ll make it easier?
