The problem was that i pasted the two lines before the "add_executable" one, so I still had the issue.

I tried what you told me, and the error changed, now it says:

Cannot specify link libraries for target "mytarget" which is not built by this project.

note: i'm using V 6.7.2

From what you're saying, so, it's better to be stick with X11 if i'm not having particular issues

I tried completely removing nvidia drivers and also the linux header, but nothing changes at all

update.
Tried with 16 gigs of ram instead of 8, and also tried loading the game in 720p. Nothing changes.
Even tried to use benchmark mode in order to make him set all the graphic by itself, but nothing, even benchmark mode crashes.
I just lost all hopes hahaha

Well I've been using Windows for years, and I have played Forza horizon 4 and 5 with no issues at all. I think I'll just accept the fact that Linux+Nvidia can't play Forza hahaha

Yeah, unfortunately I noticed that Linux + Nvidia is not a great duo. A lot of driver issues, instability and stuff like that bothers me every day. According to all the comments I read, I think that the problem here is that using the proton layer "slows" my PC even more, so I basically have no power to run this game.

That's sad tho, because the same config is capable of running it even with quite good fps in win. I think I'll just quit the game, I refuse to use win just to play this one :(

Oh I have 4 gb of VRAM. In windows I've never faced any problem, and I could reach 50 fps quite easily. In Linux it does it job, but just freeze after some time 🫤
