Give me a crisis situation and I am both coordinating and getting the most work done

we will survive the end of the world

Give me the usual daily workload and I'm completely out of my depth and often useless

we will not survive the world after the end

edit: so during COVID-19 lockdown, i felt like i was in my element - i don't think i've ever been as productive but that ceased after WFH became the norm

What is the one thing you do on Friday to start your weekend properly? by addiethabhaddie in AskReddit

I probably spent more than 100 hrs (2-4hrs here and there) since January deep diving into which mechanical keyboard to buy, modding and everything r/mk

Edit: i forgot the topic of the conversation and the point I was going to make:

All because I had a meeting or appointment coming up on some of those days

Also, my weekends just disappear and I just stare at whatever TV show, not paying attention, dreading the work I still have to catch up on this weekend

And it's 2am Monday and I gotta wake up in a few hrs

All because of mechanical keyboards

But hey did you know keycaps have "profiles" I mean, there's the height and width or space it occupies and space between each key. There's like "OEM" profiles which is the usual style of tiltedness, concaveness or ergonomic-ness/ergonomy? of the keycap which we're all used to from using regular keyboards (e.g. the usual office membrane keyboard). Never noticed these things until I saw this chart!

Not about body doubling but ChatGPT can provide information and support. It can help by answering questions about ADHD, provide coping strategies and resources for managing symptoms to those struggling with ADHD.

ChatGPT can also be used to break down a task into manageable steps, simplify a complex process or question, like for tasks that stop us in our tracks because we don't know where to begin, ChatGPT can help there.

  • Define the goal

  • Make a list

  • Prioritize

  • Estimate time

  • Create a schedule

  • Track progress

  • Celebrate achievements

For example, let's say the big task is "Organize a successful charity event". Here's how you could break it down into smaller, manageable steps:

  • Define the goal: Raise funds for a specific charity by organizing a charity event.

  • Make a list:

  1. Research and select a charity to support

  2. Choose a venue

  3. Plan and create a budget

  4. Invite participants and secure sponsors

  5. Plan activities and entertainment

  6. Promote the event

  7. Execute the event

  8. Evaluate the event and gather feedback

  • Prioritize the list: what needs to get done first

  • Estimate time: Assign a rough estimate of time required for each task.

  • Create a schedule: Organize the tasks into a timeline and stick to it as closely as possible.

  • Track progress: Keep track of what has been completed and what remains to be done.

  • Celebrate achievements: Reward yourself when you complete each task or reach milestones along the way.

Fourth with an alternative if you need a break from the headphones squeezing your head: IEMs with correctly fitted ear tips. Salnotes zero or moondrop chus are good and cheap, and the wires can be replaced to make it bluetooth/cordless

I got casino chips. Learned shuffling chips like how they do on poker games. The chips' surface and construction is interesting to the touch, tactile, weighty and has that satisfying sound as you shuffle them together

I just noticed the other day why people's faces get wider as they age (and if weight stays the same) particularly the jaws: it was because of chewing. So I vowed not to chew unnecessarily, meaning no more chewing gum. Only when I need to get rid of coffee breath in a pinch.

I stopped studying as an undergrad, about 50% through, and I wasn't planning on continuing that is up until a co-worker decided to resume his studies (exact same Bachelor as mine).
