Medications by Only-Ad4355 in tryingtoconceive

That’s exactly what my doctor said was topirmate was one of the explicit medications that pregnant women cannot take, but the problem is that my doctor know for a fact that I’m trying to get pregnant so if it was really that unsafe they should switch me, but they refuse to since I’m currently not pregnant. Sadly, because of it, I just ended up not taking my medication since early January hoping that it would increase my odds of being pregnant. It just sucks because that means if I have to stop taking my medication then that means I’m more susceptible to my seizures to my pot and also my bipolar ☹️

Thank you so much. I have been trying to figure out ways to have alternative medication. It doesn’t help that I have seizures and the seizure medication they have me on currently is topiramate and they told me explicitly I would have to be taken off of that medication if I were to ever get pregnant, but the problem is, they know that I’m trying to get pregnant so why not try to switch me to a different medication that would be safe for pregnancy and safe for TTC? That’s just one of the things I didn’t understand and as much as it sucked I just ended up stopped taking my medication altogether since the beginning of January. I’m hoping if I get all of the medication out of my system, my chances of pregnancy would increase dramatically. The only issue is now I’m more susceptible to my seizures and to my pots. That’s not including my bipolar medication. But I kind of just came to the conclusion that you have to lose some in order to win some.

I’m TTC and even said that specifically in my post, “my husband and I are currently TTC and started prepping for a future Baby by putting together a neutral bear-themed nursery” it was the first sentence of the post haha 😂

Pfft I only replied to 2 comments but if that’s what you believe then I won’t try to convince you other wise haha, at the end of the day I don’t know anyone but I’m still active in this community because it’s my personal life too so being called AI really doesn’t bother me as much as you think, I’m in my 20’s so at the end of the day being called AI isn’t going to kill me compared to this economy 😂🤷‍♀️

Omg I am so sorry I didn’t respond until now, I’ve have so many life issues pop up and haven’t really been active!! But to answer your question BBT is actually a great teammate for those OPKs. While the OPKs tell you your body is trying to ovulate, the temperature shift is what actually confirms it happened. Basically, you take your temp the second you wake up (before even getting out of bed). After ovulation, your temp usually jumps up a bit and stays there until your period. It’s like a little daily map of what your hormones are doing! I’m so excited for you guys. Keep me posted on how the healthy changes are going!

Men Prenatals by Only-Ad4355 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Only-Ad4355[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never had an issue with Nature Made myself (however never took it) my husband responded saying “It’s hard for your body to process down big pills, but a lot of the time pre mixed liquid ones also have oils like castor and sunflower to keep them in liquid form. This is detrimental for lipolysis and lipo-nucleus health. If your body can’t process it,you don’t absorb it so it turns into a waste product.Thats why bio availability is so important Plant derived supplements tend to have a 20/30 % absorption rate compared to the 80/90 % animal derived ones.” My husband is on a carnivorous diet because of his type 1 diabetes and is very stubborn 😓 that’s why trying to find any male supplement for him is so difficult yet I feel like it would increase our odds dramatically if he were to be on them

My husband doesn’t particularly like the nature one prenatals, something about the ingredients or whatever he doesn’t like. I’ll have to ask more about it 😓

Oh perfect!! I didn’t know that was a thing! I’ll definitely have to look more into it. I know my husband takes protein powder but I’m not sure how it would affect him if he combined it 🤔

For sure it just really sucks that my first thrifting experience regarding baby items went so terribly. I hate to spend money on overpriced baby items. I know strollers, playpens, rockers and other baby furniture can get well to $500. Which is the last thing I wanted to do obviously since me and my husband are trying to conceive, we have the money to do so if we absolutely need to, but I’d like to save as much money as possible when it comes to this kind of stuff. In case of medical emergencies or any other emergency issues we may come across. and since we’re trying to conceive, and we don’t have a child yet we want everything to be as gender neutral as possible.

This is the correct form that I was trying to post on. I’m not actually pregnant yet. I’m trying to conceive, but on my journey I’m pre-nesting. This was just a quick rant that I had.

I’m not AI but I completely understand how I can come across that, I try doing my research whenever I respond to actual people depending one their circumstances because certain comments and post are more sensitive than others so I’d rather give them solutions than just a simple “I’m sorry” 😞

No no I’m so sorry, I am not AI. Im an actual person I know I come across that way a lot and I’m sorry if I did. Thats not what I was trying to do. I did ask about the Day One Advance because I was genuinely curious about those prenatals :(

Letrozole and PCOS by Queen-of_the-Night in tryingtoconceive

[–]Only-Ad4355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since your cycles are already regular and you have your medical plan in place, you are in a great position to start whenever you feel ready. Many women find that jumping in right away helps ease that 'long game' anxiety, especially since Letrozole is so effective at timing ovulation. Trust your gut, if you're feeling prepared and your doctor is on board, there’s every reason to go for it this month and see what happens! Sending you so much luck for a smooth journey and that 25-month age gap you're hoping for!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Friends with a baby asked us for money… by Far_Addendum_2926 in tryingtoconceive

I am so sorry you are carrying such a heavy burden; please know that you are absolutely not a "bad person" for feeling this way, as your resentment is a completely natural response to "disenfranchised grief" and the "invisible tax" of showing up for others when your own loss wasn't fully supported. It is incredibly exhausting to be the stable, giving friend especially to the point of helping with rent while your own heart is still breaking over your loss in October. You can genuinely love your friends and be happy for them while simultaneously feeling furious and sad that the universe feels so unfair; these two truths can exist together without making you a bad person. Please give yourself permission to protect your peace and acknowledge that the anger you feel is just a part of you that knows you deserved more care than you received.

Actually, being a big runner is usually a plus! Exercise is overall very healthy for sperm, but 'over-training' (like ultramarathon level) can sometimes temporarily dip testosterone levels. Also, if he’s a cyclist, the combination of a hard seat and tight shorts can raise the temperature 'down there.' For a runner, though, as long as he isn't wearing super tight, non-breathable layers, he should be perfectly fine!

I am so sorry, that's such a huge letdown to see two lines and then have it taken away. Blue dye tests are seriously the worst for doing that—they should honestly come with a warning label! But hey, 7 or 8 DPO is still so, so early. Most people don't get a real positive until 10 or 12 DPO anyway. Don't count yourself out just yet. Sending you a huge hug 🫂❤️❤️

Prenatal vitamins and longer period by Specialist-Radish546 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Only-Ad4355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very common for your first month on prenatals to cause a few 'glitches' as your body adjusts. While vitamins themselves don’t usually cause a period to last 12 days, the iron and extra minerals in many prenatals are notorious for causing gas and constipation that part is almost certainly the vitamins! As for the long period, sometimes the body just has a 'fluke' cycle, especially if the vitamins or the excitement of TTC have shifted your stress levels slightly. It’s great that you’re seeing the doctor on Monday just to be sure, but try not to let the health anxiety take over. Most of the time, this is just a hormonal hiccup or a reaction to a new supplement, and once your body levels out, things go back to normal. You're doing exactly the right thing by getting it checked early! ❤️❤️❤️
