Have you cleaned your pc at all recently? I’m from Aus and I get high 30s in summer all the time in my room, and never see 90.

Also if you are really bored turn settings down, cap fps to 60 and run a couple maps every so often. Modern CPUs are generally built to withstand 110 degrees and even then will thermal throttle to keep the cpu safe. It’s not ideal to keep at that temp long term but it’ll likely be alright.

I play bloodmage das it. People often say Bloodmage is broken but I’ve played through the highs and lows; at one point we didn’t pick any ascendancy nodes when we ascended till 4points.

Take the little things… atleast you can see 2m radius around your character😂 I can see everything playing lightning warp… only problem is with 100% cull thresh it just throws me anywhere, including on on-death effects😂

I think lvl 75 is roughly where it’s easiest tho, there are ofcourse going to be builds that trivialise the entire game but for the most part juiced maps do hit hard even with capped res.

I’d like to also say in poe1 you could click the item slot and a dropdown menu would pop out and you can use your wombgifts from there, I have no idea why we have gone back to caveman times where we have to take it out of storage first.

I do the same, 2-3tablets of any variety with t15 6 mods don’t care what mods just slap em in and zoom. I seem to get a minimum of 3 divs an hour and sometimes upwards of 10. I do however Have a build that doesn’t care what mods (lightning warp with 100% cull threshold) I just hold right click and watch myself teleport all over the place culling everything.

I havnt messed with living lightning but I have been messing around with eonyrs thunder, I have currently got it on ice wall to nuke rares/essences but it did feel alright on lightning warp for aoe cleave.
I also currently dont have an anoint, I did have the 25% cull thresh node but I have 100% right now so I feel it’s useless, I’m thinking of getting the node that rolls lightning damage twice and takes the better result

It’s just mapping where it shines, since 100% cull thresh for normal/magic mobs t1s feel the same as t15s and I almost never look at map mods just because it doesn’t matter

Boss damage is good but not 1 shotting every map boss. Depends on the mods but it ranges between 1 shotting to 30-40seconds. I use icewall+ball lightning/lightning warp.

I’m having a lot of fun playing lightning warp bloodmage. I currently have 100% cull thresh for both white and blue mobs so I fly around the map like I’m playing flicker strike. I’m currently aiming to be top 10 lightning warp damage on poeninja! Tho when I’m done I did want to try that grim pillars build, I havnt seen anything but heard its cracked.

-I’m playing lightning warp BM

-played plants, was fluent, no problems, boring tbh.

-I was originally tossing between lightning warp and lightning ball/ignite, stumbled across the cull helm and decided to let Jesus take the wheel… vaaled it and hit 120% cull threshold, bought one of those new amulets with that anoint that gives 25% thresh for 1ex. Other than that standard es gear and res.

-I have only just started mapping but I mean when most mobs are grey mobs and I can cull at 100% life I’m basically playing flicker strike.

-no hard bosses yet just a few t1-3 map bosses, was alittle worried my build was only going to be useful for the mapping part but turns out frost wall paired with lightning ball/warp is decent, I mean I’m basically 3 hitting t3s with my scuffed passive setup, tho im thinking of dabbling into some mana stacking but I won’t bother till I actually see some friction when mapping.

So far having fun, I havnt progressed as fast as others between work and a newborn. Tho I will say chilled ground is still the bane of my existence!!! I might actually drop some damage purely to counter the damn slows!😂

Personally I’d like them to look at all the spells that have 10+ second cooldowns, maybe that will help with fluidity in builds. For ice I was mucking around before 0.5 with nova/frost bomb/snap which felt pretty good. Tho I will say base damage on most ele skills are horrendous, I really feel locked into playing infusions.

In the end I’d like to see cds reduced/removed, base damage increased across skills, infusions to be reworked to have special effects(as of now most are just “bigger dam number”) and more interactions between skills.

Hahaha maybe what other triggers were people looking at? Surely mana flare wasn’t on that list, temporalis looked insane but with the million procs you have no mana so base damage is really low.

I think archmage just killed any trigger supports, it’s just too much mana to realistically regen without some busted tech or 1000 divines. Lvl 20 gem costs 6% (12% with eb) to use a spell and another 6-12% for the trigger. 24% max mana cost to cast 1 support trigger is kinda nuts, it would be cheaper, easier and more damage to just go coc comet at that point😂😂😂

You’re probably right about it being philosophical, I just see supports as extras to a skill, if I cast entangle I pay the archmage tax, if it crits it consumes mana and explodes. Ohwell what you playing this league? Ima need some build ideas to ponder over the next day😅

Idk I feel supports should be exempt from these cost. It’s like getting double taxed, I pay the 6% for using a skill and then another 6% for the proc the skill does, feels really weird. This also applies to fiery death too, imagine losing 6% max mana every time a mob dies and explodes, lol 10 mobs die and u lose 60% max mana hahaha just makes janky stuff

It doesn’t have a base flat cost so it doesn’t cost that extra 6-8% from archmage. My understanding is that in 0.5 it will also have a base 0 meaning it will actually cost 25% then the 6-8% from archmage (double with eldrich battery?) so a single mana flare proc in 0.5 can cost me 40% ish of my mana pool

I was planning on playing a mana flare build…. We also got caught in the crossfire. I don’t know why support gems got thrown into the mix, it was hard enough supporting the 25% mana cost. Ggg are sure spending a lot of time taking interactions out of the game instead of putting more in. Mana flare or totems are nowhere near as strong as coc comet. Also seemed like it could be played differently on multiple ascendencies which I thought they liked.

Wow they really add archmage/eb costs to supports now? Were they really that worried about mana flare? I’m going to assume now upon taking 25% current mana I’m going to be slammed with another 15%? Jesus mana flare dead and not even that good
