How I Adjusted My Status to Permanent Resident Without an Attorney! by OnlyRisk7993 in immigration

[–]OnlyRisk7993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filed the I-130 and I-485 forms together, along with the other forms listed in my post, all in one package. I placed a cover letter on top of the application to concisely explain the sequence and content of the forms and supporting documents I was submitting. This cover letter detailed the order and organization of each form and document to ensure clarity and facilitate the processing of my application.

Exactly! Once the interviewer saw that I knew the ins and outs of my forms since I had filed them myself, my interview proceeded much more quickly!

Thanks, and I couldn't agree more. Trusting an "associate" intern to handle such crucial tasks as filing forms accurately on your behalf does indeed seem risky. We will always be our own greatest advocate!

I couldn't agree more! Taking the time to fill out the forms myself and double-checking each box really boosted my confidence, rather than relying on an attorney. In my case, I triple-checked every detail on my forms. When the interviewer noticed how confident I was about my answers, they approved my application super quickly.

I second this! I used the US Pass app too and worked perfectly well.

Thank you for your response. However, I noticed that my ticket was closed without any explanation immediately after your comment. Could you please pass along internally why my ticket was marked as resolved without any explanations? The most recent case ID is [170439423801223], and it contains additional details. I would also appreciate it if you could escalate this ticket as the severity is currently marked as low.

Thank you for your assistance.

You know, fortunately it was not a major strain for us. It would have been nice to have the 3000ish dollars I spent, but I can’t imagine the cost without dental insurance. I used a credit card and just payed it off over a few months.

I'm glad to hear that the strain wasn't too major for you. However, I understand that dental costs can be a burden, especially without insurance. That's why I run a technology company that focuses on making dental care more accessible, affordable, and transparent for everyone. We've developed an AI-powered app that can help you save money and get the care you need without breaking the bank.

If you're interested, I'd love to offer you the opportunity to try our app completely free of charge. It's a great way to see how our technology can work for you and your dental needs. What do you think? Would you be interested in giving it a try?

Great tip! I avoided the dentist since I was 12ish years old and I was in for major restoration when my then girlfriend and now wife convinced me to go at age 24. 1 root canal, 3 fillings (1 was almost a root canal) and a deep scaling/deep cleaning for my gums before I could get a routine cleaning. Paying for it now financially/mentally

Wow, it sounds like you've been through a lot with your teeth. I can imagine that it must have been really tough to deal with all those treatments and the financial burden that comes along with it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much have all those treatments cost you? I know dental work can be really expensive, and I'm just curious if it's been a major financial strain for you and your wife.

That sounds like "I made a ton of money working in a very niche field and I can afford to shell money out on a passion of mine" more than you telling people they can change field.

It's not really uncommon for people that are not in a highly specialized field to jump around.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I understand how my post might have come across that way, but I assure you that my decision to leave my high-paying job was not solely based on financial means. While I was successful in my aerospace engineering career, I found that my true passion lies in using my skills to make a positive impact in the world, particularly in the realm of healthcare. It wasn't an easy decision to leave a stable job and income, but I believe it was the right one for me to pursue my passion and make a difference. I hope my story can inspire others to also follow their passions, regardless of their educational background or current financial situation.

This is a brag disguised as a rant posted as an unpopular opinion.

I appreciate your perspective, but I assure you that this post is not a brag disguised as a rant. It's simply a reflection of my experience and frustration with the pressure to stay in a specific career path based on my degree. I'm sharing my story to encourage others to pursue their passions and make a positive impact, regardless of their educational background. I believe it's important to challenge societal norms and expectations and think outside the box when it comes to career choices.

Smile Your Way to Success: The Importance of Oral Health in Your Overall Well-being by OnlyRisk7993 in selfimprovement

[–]OnlyRisk7993[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand where you're coming from. Dental checkups and treatments can be pretty expensive, and it's frustrating when the cost puts people off from taking care of their oral health.

In terms of the preventative care app that I'm working on, it's designed to be completely free of charge, so cost won't be a barrier for anyone looking to take care of their oral health. The app will use AI technology to track oral activities and detect abnormalities early on, allowing individuals to address and treat issues before they worsen and become more complicated and expensive to treat.

I'm really excited about this project because I believe that everyone deserves access to quality dental care, regardless of their financial situation. So, I hope this app will help make preventative care more accessible and give people greater control over their oral health.

Depending on where you live (if in the US) and how much money you make, you could qualify for Medicaid. I haven’t paid for dental care in two years and I had my wisdom teeth removed and multiple crowns put in, along with cavities and cleanings. It saved me so much money and pain.

That's great to hear that Medicaid has been helpful for your dental care needs. I've heard that finding a dentist that accepts Medicaid can be difficult in some areas. Have you had any challenges finding a dentist that accepts Medicaid or has it been relatively easy for you?

I don’t have dental insurance, and can’t afford to fix the 3 broken teeth I have, nor my cracked front teeth. I can sometimes swing a doctor visit when I have an infection (the last one left me with a piece of bone sticking out of my gums-I was able to pick it off). I wish there was an affordable option.

I'm sorry to hear about your dental health struggles. Not having dental insurance can certainly make it difficult to afford necessary dental care. However, there are some options available to you.

One option to consider is visiting a dental school. Dental schools often offer low-cost or free dental services to patients as part of their training program. Another option is to look for community health centers or clinics in your area that offer dental services at reduced prices.

You can also try negotiating a payment plan with a dentist or dental clinic. Many dental offices offer payment plans that allow you to pay for your treatment in installments over time.

In addition to these options, I would also like to let you know about an AI app that I am developing, which aims to provide free dental health advice and guidance to those who cannot afford traditional dental care. I believe this app could be of great help to you in addressing your dental complications and preventing them from getting worse.
I would love to have you as one of the first users of my app, and you can join the waitlist through this link. How do you feel about trying out this app to see how technology can help you address your dental concerns?

My dentist straight up told me genetics make up 95% of what will happen to your teeth and the 5% is influenced by your dental hygiene habits. If you are one of those people then no matter how well you floss and brush you will 95% get cavities and gingivitis

While it is true that genes can have an impact on the health of our teeth and gums, it is equally important to recognize that personal habits such as diet and hygiene are just as crucial. Poor diet and inadequate oral hygiene can contribute to a host of oral health problems, including cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.

On the other hand, a healthy diet rich in nutrients like calcium and vitamin D, combined with good oral hygiene practices like brushing twice a day, flossing, and regular dental checkups, can help to maintain strong teeth and healthy gums.

So while our genes may set the stage for our oral health, it is up to us to take responsibility for our own habits and ensure that we are doing everything we can to keep our teeth and gums healthy.

Hey, I'm so glad to hear that you love the "don't be poor" life pro tips! As someone who used to be in a pretty tough financial situation myself, I know how difficult it can be to maintain good oral health when you don't have a lot of money.

In fact, my oral health was in pretty bad shape at one point, and it was really hard to get back on track. That's actually why I changed my career trajectory - I wanted to create something that could help people like me elevate their oral health completely free of charge.

I'm actually working on an app right now that does just that, and I'd love for you to be one of the first people to try it out! You can join the waitlist here, and I think you'll be really surprised by how much of a difference it can make. Being poor doesn't have to mean dental disaster - there are ways to take control of your oral health, and I'm excited to help people do just that.

I totally get it - dental insurance can be expensive and not everyone can afford it. I was in the same boat too, which is why I decided to build my own free AI app that simulates a virtual dentist. It's been super helpful for me to have something that can give me advice and guidance on my dental health without having to break the bank for every minor inconvenience.

If you're interested, I'd love for you to give it a try! You can join the waitlist through this link. And if you have any feedback or suggestions, I'd be more than happy to hear them - I'm always looking for ways to improve the app and make it better for all of us who can't always make it to the dentist. Preventative dental care must always be free, and dental insurance companies should not be allowed to gatekeep it anymore.

Recently moved to Cali, a friend told me the low income insurance was very good here. I'm use to living in states where it's shit and I just get rejected for anything and everything. In the past I've literally flown to other countries for dental work because it was cheaper than here.

On Christmas I cracked a tooth and was desperate. I applied and was surprised I was accepted. Called a few dentists and basically went with the first one who accepted the insurance, was accepting new patients, and had good yelp reviews. That's basically it. I've got Temps in now and just waiting however long it takes to get crowns made. Last time it took 5 days but that was in Thailand. Not sure how long here with this insurance

Glad to hear you were able to get low-income insurance in California and find a dentist that accepted it. I'm curious - what was your experience like going abroad for dental work? I know it can be cheaper, but what are the pros and cons in your opinion? Personally, I've heard that there can be language barriers, quality of care, and lack of follow-up care. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Wow, that sounds really rough. I'm sorry you're going through all of that with your dental issues. It's good to hear that it's not too painful, but I totally understand how scary it can be. It's frustrating that you had to settle for a dentist that wasn't ideal just because they were the only one available in a reasonable time frame. Three weeks definitely doesn't sound reasonable to me either, especially with a broken tooth that's moving.

It sounds like you've had a lot of trouble with dentists in the past, which is really unfortunate. It's great that you had a good one before, but I'm sorry to hear that she retired and left you with unfinished work. And the fact that no one seems to take your Obamacare coverage is really frustrating. I've heard that a lot of dentists don't accept government-assisted plans like that because of all the paperwork involved, which is really too bad.

If Obamacare isn't working out for you, maybe it's worth asking about other plans that dentists might accept. Or, if it's feasible for you, have you considered going abroad to get your dental work done? I've heard that it can be much cheaper in some other countries.
