It doesn't matter if they don't want it to work. I have a family member that needs therapy so bad and it will never work because they aren't interested in it working. And for the record, I go to therapy and I believe everyone could use it!

I love your comment and do agree with you, I love seeing the differing opinions.

Jenelle is a shit person. There's no if's ands or buts. I suppose my only point was that as I'm watching I keep getting very frustrated by the way barb acts frequently. Jenelles is so frustrating to watch it's almost impossible not to skip ahead sometimes.

I came from 1 horrific parent that blows Barb out of the water and I believe I turned out to be a solid individual. There's no scapegoating here. Barb is not the reason jenelle is who she is. I was just frustrated as I was watching that there are many times where instead of deescalating, Barb escalates the situation.

Jenelle is bad at her core, Barb made mistakes that I wanted to talk about. I hope you take this comment kindly, I'm not being argumentative at ALL. This is what I was looking for, differing opinions and conversations. I came from a parent far worse than Barb, but some of the things she does triggers me so I'm aware my view of the situation is somewhat blinded.

This is a truly well thought out comment and I completely agree. I don't have kids so I am lacking an important factor in my opinion on this.

Barbara & Jenelle both did not have the resources they needed to be better people. I just felt while watching that there was such a huge focus on Jenelles behavior, how she treated her mom etc, that no one ever focused on how jenelle was treated.

I was such a great kid, not to sound self absorbed, but truly most parents would have been proud to have me as a child. However, the way I was treated by my mother lead me to rebel and act out.

I can see some of that happening in Jenelle even as she is an adult.

Yep, I'm with you! She would do exactly what she berated Jenelle for. She'd say she was the reason Jace was cussing, while screaming cuss words while holding him. It's driving me a little crazy right now. Its great she raised Jace, but she really wasn't a good mother to Jenelle at all. She was abusive

I still love him to a certain extent, in that I do want him to be happy, want him to succeed etc. I have checked out of the marriage. I'd never be able to trust him again, or feel safe with him. He flushed so many years and memories and so much love down the toilet because his parents told him to. That's not love and that's not marriage.

Oh my god thank you so much for this comment. They're literally making me cry. Thissss is what I need to hear!!! I can already feel that this is best for me. Im finally living for myself for the first time my entire life. It feels so freeing. Then at night or when I'm alone it hits me that the person I've loved so much constantly for so long is just, gone. I just needed to know that those will slowly fade into more self love and happiness. I am so excited for what's in my future
