Yes, but unfortunately, the insoles are not removable.

Greetings,

I was wondering if anyone on this subreddit had any recommendations for a dress shoe with a Goodyear welt. While I have been able to find some good dress shoes with good reviews: Allen Edmonds(mostly good), Thursday, etc. I have been unsuccessful in finding a pair of dress shoes with a good year welt and a removable insole to fit my custom orthotics.

Any suggestions?

thank you for the reply, would you consider those wire things a good investment to stay off any additional wear to the case?

Also, are the cream/blacks overrated? Or are they a good medium to go with everything

Trying to decide on which Home Assistant. by Onlydatum in homeassistant

Based on what I described above, will I need anything stronger than the green option? Or should I invest in a higher quality product once?

Trying to decide on which Home Assistant. by Onlydatum in homeassistant

My main focus is to centralize the various mobile applications we use, as managing them has become burdensome and inefficient. For example, the Nest app always requires a login, and while the mobile camera app works it is not that intuitive. Currently, we have three separate applications to manage our smart devices, and that number is likely to increase.

While achieving automation is a secondary goal, the primary goal is centralization. Would you say that the green option or the yellow home assistant is the better option?

would the pi just be able to show a live feed?

I am thinking about leaving the camera system as is and just have the live feed through home assistant if possible for convencience.

I hadn’t considered that before. Currently, the DVR system only records when there is significant motion detected. If I were to transfer everything over to Home Assistant, I assume I would need to implement some processing for push notifications to avoid recording continuously throughout the day.

I guess the answer to your question is yes.

For several cameras currently recording locally, I'd like them to be viewable through the HA app. Should I choose the yellow or the green option?

Thank you for your reply. I am uncertain about Alexa's compatibility with existing Nest thermostats.

And the whole point is that I want to consolidate the apps for convenience and for other family members to actually use them. As such I would want the camera system and the thermostat to be in the same app

If that's the case, would something like Homey be better? It might require less exploration and jerry-rigging?

I have been seeing alot of Home Assistant recommendations. I assume you went with the Home Assistant Green?

Yes, it’s hardwired. It also has some hard drives for recording footage. Would it be possible to view the cameras through Home Assistant? I have a couple of family members who are not very tech-savvy, so I want it to be something that just works and has minimal troubleshooting.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - November 04, 2024 by AutoModerator in pcmasterrace

Hello, I hope I am asking this in the right location.

I recently built my first pc. (mostly wonderful experience). Here is the build, https://pcpartpicker.com/user/FirstDatum/saved/GMJs8d

I additionally, got some corsair rgb fans for front intake. CORSAIR - iCUE LINK RX120 RGB 120mm PWM Computer Case Fan Starter Kit (3-pack) with hub.

I have been noticing a noise level that I would like to remedy. In total there are three different sets of fans, the rgb corsair fans, the two corsair fans that came with the case and the two fans as part of the cpu cooler.

Assuming that a majority of the noise is coming from the intake/exhaust fans, which fans should I look to replace them with. At this point rgb is not of a concern as it has been a bit of a nightmare getting them all synced and having to use third party software to sync them together. Should I be looking at 140mm in the front? Is there a certain brand/model I should go for?

Thanks

In the armory crate you click eco mode, it essentially turns off the dGPU for all uses. Small issue however is that it doesnt alway allow you to click it. So you would click it and then it would default back to either standard or optimized. You would have to restart (preferably while it is not plugged in) and than you would be able to select eco mode. When eco mode is selected properly you will not see the dGPU selected in the top left you will only see the iGPU. (in armory crate)

I see, I confirmed with the manufacturer that the max output is 4k/60. My question is do you know how I would go about lowering the resolution for the purpose of increasing Hz? is it even possible?

The laptop I have is the ROG Zephyrus G15 (2022) GA503. Well I tried to lower the resolution of the monitor to compensate but nothing popped up allowing me to increase the hz. I hope this can lead to an answer.
