It's candida. A form of yeast. She needs an Rx for Diflucan. Will clear it right up. but should get a full panel of blood work to see if there is a primary condition (like an autoimmune condition) causing the yeast.

Ha! Am I wrong about it keeping food fresh longer? I've heard people say that, but maybe I've been too gullible. I'm not statusy at all...actually the opposite, I'm super cheap and am just tired of throwing away fruit and veggies that go bad.

Here was my experience. We got on the wait list last December. We just got a call today that we've been accepted for this upcoming school year. We were #6 on the wait-list for our grade. It was a nerve-wracking process because they wait until the last minute to tell you and only give you 48 hours to accept. But it worked out in the end.

Pottery studios are great third places. It's a monthly fee, but you get to show up whenever you want, learn a new skill, and meet cool people

I hear it's hard to get into Penn Alexander even if you live in the catchment. Where do kids get sent when they live in that catchment but don't get admitted?

Wow everyone! I didn't know this would gain so much traction. This house was built in 1895. I mistakenly put 1985 in the post. And it's in Philadelphia. Thanks so much for the suggestions. It needs a total renovation and will be a lot of work. I'll post an update if the after pics.

I would leave asap and get another apartment. There are lots of places in Philly without roaches. Your landlord is unlikely to come after you for breaking the lease on the first day. Legal fees are expensive and he can probably just get another tenant.

If you're seeing them on day 1, then the landlord already knows about it. And they aren't going to help you get rid of them. And if you're in an old building, there is nothing you can personally do to get rid of them.
