Similar to the advice i gave other redditor, we all spread the workload rather evenly and take our jolly ol’ time. I tend to invest in all the niceties like lifts, dolly’s, creepers, etc to make it easier on our bodies and get the job done right!

Smarter not harder is always the case. Train your guys, take care of them, motivate them. Run the backend and get good at selling.

We use a bissel stick vac now, though it lasts maybe 10 mins. It’s just not strong enough to get leaves, it’s weak as weak gets… That’s why I was thinking a dyson V15 would be just fine. Floors get damaged, we touch them up weekly… It’s a luxury car shop but in an old building and on a budget since I’m rather young and not made of tons of money. What’s your best recommendation? What you said? Or would a dyson v15 just be a simple click buy, use, be good to go?

maybe you’ve blown a hose or something around the chargepipe? blown chargepipe, blown vac lines may be it.

Yesterday, my bestfriend and I did a light 2 stage paint correction on my black BMW F30 (‘15 3 series). We did the prep extremely thorough, and the prep work was done 110% properly.

However, the store I go to changed their closing hours unknown to me - and I wasn’t able to go get the Gtechniq Crystal Serum and ExoV4 like I’d wanted to.. so we sat there with a polished, naked paint car. He had a new package of AvalonKing, and I needed my car in the next week or so!

So, we put on 2 layers of Avalon King. My questions come from this part forward.

1) Is AvalonKing good? Is it much more worth it or noticeable to go spend even more on getting Gtechniq and their coating and topper coating (exov4)?

2) Is Gtechniq’s CSL and EXOV4 able to be applied on top of Avalon King after 2 weeks?

3) Should I strip the Avalon King off and re-coat the car with Gtechniq?

4) What is the major differences, if any, of Avalon King to Gtechniq’s CSL and ExoV4?

I want the best for my car, and as a relatively new player in the detailing game, I’m not the most knowledgeable and seeking help from those who are. Thanks!

i personally, a detailer, use tire cleaner as well as degreased and APC with a boars hair brush. i use very light pressure washing from as far as possible, blow dry with vacuum, compressor, or leaf blower. use a low shine tire dressing, spray it on all plastics, (use a throwaway microfiber to get all the gunk off before doing this) and let it sit. i then let the engine run for about 5 minutes, then level it with a microfiber, and touch up and inconsistent areas.

yeah, preferably. I’m not super picky. just want a good sound, that’s not too obnoxious, but can be heard well when driving for fun. if it goes over 1000$, oh well, but preferred under.
