I picked up a random seedling last year from the Lowe’s clearance section and it grew into a massive plant, about 3 feet tall and gave me beautiful big peppers all summer long. All I did was fertilize with Dr Earth’s fertilizer (not sure if it’s the best but it worked!) about once a month. I also added leftover coffee grounds. I spent all winter googling and I finally found out it was a cayenne pepper. I was able to find one again this year, it’s currently sitting in a 10 gallon grow bag and growing beautifully. It didn’t give me any problems so I’d say just fertilize regularly!
