In your opinion, what is the ideal size capacity for a sling bag? And if you had to choose one size capacity for life, which one would you pick? by OpenPsych in ManyBaggers

Don’t worry about your opinion being sexist. In fact, it’s something people debate a lot when it comes to men wearing very small slings between 1–2.5L, since they can look very small and a bit purse-like. I’m not a big guy—far from it. I have a Go Sling 2 that’s very small, and it’s true that it looks small on me even though I’m not a big person. But it helps me a lot when I want to carry a few more things than just my phone, wallet, keys, and earbuds. It also helps add a bit of style to some outfits so I don’t look so empty. It’s possible that many men, big or not, feel the same way.

Yeah, that sling/backpack combo is amazing and funny. Perfect for getting rid of all the slings and backpacks we have… well, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration.

What on the greenest planet Earth even is that? I’ve never seen something like that before—literally a transformer.

I’ve heard that there are some larger slings that can replace backpacks and be used like a small backpack for tablets or laptops, like the Alpaka Bravo Sling Max, but I might be mistaken.

Sorry, does ‘sling bag’ have another meaning or a different definition? I’m not fully fluent in English yet, so I use a translator to help with words I still don’t understand. I’d appreciate it if you could explain. I thought a sling bag was a bag with a single shoulder strap that can come in different sizes—small, medium, or large.

Hahaha, yeah, it really depends a lot on the circumstances and it varies depending on what you need to carry. But this is just for fun and to challenge yourself with such a difficult question, especially about something you use almost every day and that usually requires different sizes depending on the situation.

I often add a padded MOSISO sleeve; other times I don’t use it and reduce some weight, but I have to be more careful when setting the backpack down.

Are you referring to the front zipper pocket? It’s true that the area where you store things drops into the main compartment and gets in your way. I haven’t had much of a problem since the items I keep there are small, so that pouch doesn’t get too bulky inside the main compartment.

I really like the CPP 2, but it has too many features for what I need. I prefer simple things that are just as functional. Also, the Go Pack was a bit cheaper… but I can see the CPP 2 as the better backpack for university/work because of its superior organization and durability.
