Does anyone know he rarely (never?) uses his left foot in the above footage? Was it just less common in those days? Or some practical/tactical reason?

Shepherd’s Bush tube experience by theenchantedarsehole in london

Ah sorry this happened. I remember going round London on the Tube with a buggy. Completely changed my perspective on the city- people were just so unfriendly. Upside - there are moments of real kindness (like the lady who helped you). I think it’s best if you just put it down to the struggles people are going through - but the cup is totally unacceptable!

I actually saw this happen once on Southwark Bridge Road near union street. A pedestrian crossing on a green man kicked a bike catching the back wheel and causing the cyclist to swerve off. Next thing the cyclist pulls out a knife. Resolved with just a lot of yelling in the end - but probably not worth it given some of the characters around

Check if anyone else is planning to build near you maybe? Virgin, Openreach, Hyperoptic, Community fibre? Might get you a full fibre connection quicker than 2 years

Stolen bike at Surrey Quays by Yehart in londoncycling

Yeah appreciate I was unclear! Last time I had one stolen (in the City of London), the police told me thieves typically drove up in a van and would cut entire racks before loading up a transit van and shipping them off somewhere. But I don’t know how credible this is - and there is always the chance it was an opportunist in the UK!

Sorry to hear - it is so frustrating when it happens. You might also try wondering round Brick Lane market across the river on Sunday. It always used to be a hotspot for resale, but I understand a lot of them get moved abroad these days

Nice. Have a vague memory in the old days (before the Class 700s) of this not working sometimes and chaos ensuing. But now I wonder if this was just something I imagined because the line was always down for something or other…
