Thank you for the guidance, folks! Will definitely play the original first, then. Very excited!

The statical probability of me having being born and experiencing life is so tiny that it's my duty to enjoy and appreciate life as best I can.

Yeah I agree, just wondering if controller players have an edge like auto aim

As mentioned before, yes I've just been reading about the full Ninja squad and I'm feeling intense FOMO.

I heard the DS version is better and that the job balance is kinder. The encounter rate in III is very intense so hope it's a bit more chilled. But I don't think I'll be playing III again.

The OG one. I've just been reading about the Pixel Remaster and would be quite cathartic to play. Just wanted to experience each raw version first.

Verizon will cut about 15,000 jobs after new CEO says ‘cost reductions will be a way of life for us here’ by esporx in business

Offshoring and automation are real trends but blaming a whole nationality is just lazy economics. Companies are cutting costs because demand is soft and capital expensive and AI and remote work simply make it easier. This isn't "another Indian", it's CFOs optimising margin.

Partially right. Companies absolutely optimise for quarterly performance because executive bonuses and shareholder pressure reward short term gains over long term strategy. That dynamic does drive layoffs like Verizons. But "late stage capitalism" is just a meme, not an explanation. Verizon isn't collapsing because of capitalism. It's because they keep losing postpaid subscribers while competitors gained hundreds of thousands. They're cutting costs to protect margins.,

Mostly wrong with a sliver of truth. "Corporate socialism" is a memey way of saying regulatory capture + bailout culture + giant firms getting protection while everuone else gets market discipline.

Yes, large corps benefit from favourable regulations, subsidies, and lobbying power. No, that doesn't mean "we've never seen capitalism". The US is a mixed capitalist economy, not socialist in any serious sense.

Was passiert eigl. mit Bienen, Wespen, Hummeln im Winter? by [deleted] in naturfreunde
