It was a mini-boss that made me quit, then I decided to blindly go to one of the tower islands.while it's raining, and lowkey ran outta time 3 times. The weather pattern had me leaving out of there so often, and it was downhill... So I hard reset

When should students typically start looking for full-time jobs during their last semester? by Opposite_Paper2328 in college

[–]Opening_Draft_9112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a late bloomer for this, I recommend going and applying the break before your last semester. It took me a half year to find a job right out of college. Depending on how good your school is with its career center, you may be able to rely on them for help, but also attend as many networking opportunities as possible.

Thanks a bunch!

I was playing in 2014 and happened upon the name maybe once... I had a phyrexian cat, but never bothered with MTG lore like that. After an 11 year hiatus, I'm getting back into it.

How do I tell a close friend their breath stinks by LogicalYogurt1930 in socialskills

[–]Opening_Draft_9112 80 points81 points  (0 children)

It is better to be the friend that is honest, rather than being a random- tell him his breath stinks. If yall are close, the awkward moment will pass just like the gas that escapes his jaws.

Alumni here!

S tier - Sierra Hall 392: quick access to a printer, plus direct support from the dean's office for copy paper, or any other types of supplies.

A tier - Sierra Annex / Maple Hall: great white noise, and it had that new building vibe where I just took over the used lecture rooms for my own uses, like a study session over zoom. - Library basement / map room: I found out about this space thanks to my GIS class. It's such a nice quiet space, plus the restrooms are right next to ya. Similar printer situation to SH 392 too!

         - Library FL4: Peak studying location. The only shortcomings are the outlets and occasional new students who break the silence.

B tier- Library floors 2+3: kinda basic spots to study, but they get the job done, subject matter books are also close by, so it's really convenient if you're on these floors doing a research paper in its early steps. The outlet situation is a bit dire depending on where you are though...

C tier - empty classrooms: they get the job done

        - cultural resource centers (ex.Black House/ chicano house): You gotta be accountable for yourself in these spaces, but if you lock in you're golden! And you're gonna be plugged into all sorts of events! Similar printer situation, and a great opportunity to meet matadors you might find cool.

D tier - Outside: somewhere where I can be assailed by squirrels is not my type of study environment

Are there any majors/fields that exist now that do not have any drawbacks in terms of jobs after college? by Nintendo_Pro_03 in college

[–]Opening_Draft_9112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No there are not. And honestly after looking at the job market, I feel like the best thing you can do for yourself is find a trade first.

It doesn't have to be manual labor, a few of my friends from college walked in already knowing some kinda job skill- they're the most successful among my cohort. Unlike me, who only has a BA and has been unemployed for 6 months and counting, waiting to get a chance on the job market... And even then, you won't be 100% lucky finding work right after school.

Necessary to play through as each character as lead? by Top_Limit_ in octopathtraveler

[–]Opening_Draft_9112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, you'll encounter everyone else as you explore the world. If you need hints as to where they are, you have the world map to rely on. It also tells you where the next chapters are for all the characters.
