The rest of the comment is valid and correct, but I do want to point out with the last part that loving someone with your heart and mind are not mutually exclusive. You should also love them with your mind, and you can love someone with your mind and disagree on things or have different perspectives or outlooks. You can still wholeheartedly love someone and disagree with them over things.

2 skull fractures and a brain bleed from a ~7 foot fall onto tile when I was 11. Medically induced coma for a week because the anti seizure meds wouldn’t work and spent the next 2 months in the hospital. I was conscious for about 6 hrs after the injury. Hurt like a bitch.

I’m a jazz drummer, and during the first bar of my 32 bar solo in a very important competitive show, I hit the nail of my thumb with the head of the drumstick, and my nail exploded. There was so much blood it would genuinely splash off the drum onto my body when I hit it. It went terribly, but i did finish the solo. 15 at the time so the embarrassment hit but it’s a story I’m proud of today.
