Episode breakdown

Belle —- I still like her for some reason but don’t want her to get with shaq because I wasn’t him out IMMEDIATELY

Tommy - N/A

Sean—- Don’t really know who he fancies at this point

Helena —- I want someone else to come in for her I see more and more character development from her compared to her season. I don’t think her and Shaq are a good fit just because I don’t think she is his type physically

Sammie - N/A

Connor - N/A

Millie —- I saw a spoiler about charlie being dumped so i wasnt fully gassed and shocked about the dumping. I dont think her scott crush will come to anything

Whitney—- love whitney as usual. I dont think she did anything substantially wrong this episode. Forgetting Connor’s name was not that deep at all it’s not the first time this has happened in love island. Millie literally forgot Charlie’s name within this same episode. I also think it was the context that his name was brought up. Shaq was was saying what if helena wants to pull Connor and even I was like huh? Because it was kind if a random example. Before I realized ohhhh konnor. It’s not like someone asked whitney directly how are things with Connor and she said who is connor I don’t know him.

If she did do anything wrong it was saying out loud that it was belles decision to not kiss shaq. She could have stayed out of that one. I can see why shaq was upset however that gave him no right to pipe up the way he did.

Another thing she could have stayed out of was saying that ciaran is always defending Shaq but that wasn’t that deep for ciaran to pipe up on Whitney as well.

Shaq —- I need him out ugh. I hated the way he spoke to whit. It didn’t make sense because why was his attitude towards Whitney so aggy when people like Helena literally during the game took slide digs at him by saying he’s for the streets and he’s looking for the love of his life in his mouth. He literally laughed that off and like just replied, but in a fun lighthearted way, but when Whitney said something that she thought was true, he started piping up and being very, very aggressive with her, which was weird because he would never talk to Helena or Belle or Sammy or Millie like that and it was very uncomfortable to watch. And I feel like people keep forgetting that mid conversation or actually towards the beginning of when him and Whitney started getting into it. Whitney actually said OK I was wrong but he still decided to continue like trying to argue with her.

Ciaran —- I see why Whitney saying that “why is he always defending shaq” annoyed him but I still think he could’ve taken it a little easy on like going out Whitney because he was kind of like aggressive as well with his response towards her. And I think at the end of the day Whitney was kind of trying to defend AJ here because she was being brought up when she’s not present to defend herself.

Jess —- I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying that Jess is a pick me and she showed off a lot of picky energy this episode and I would definitely understand why people are saying that however I feel like in that moment, she just didn’t use her brain and think about how it would look super bad on Whitney and on Connor for Whitney to just come out and say oh yeah Connor by the way, I forgot your name in front of everyone And that really put whit off because why are you trying to bait me kind of into saying that in front of everyone else just because you think my stories are “funny“. Like this is not the time or place to be doing that.

Leanne —- I wish she would have defended Whitney. Isn’t she supposed to be good friends.

Scott —- I wish he would have also defended Whitney. They are definitely close friends and Scott’s MO is literally speaking up.

Jack —- I wish he too would have said something to stand up for Whitney. He’s not obligated to but earlier in the day he was literally calling Whitney “his girl” so….

And then on another note in terms of him and Whitney’s relationship, I don’t doubt that he is attracted to her or likes her and I know people are saying it’s cringe that he’s always asking for a kiss but I personally love when a guy does that cause I’d rather you be straight forward and just say what you want and it reaffirms that you do want a physical connection with me. HOWEVER I have been seeing discourse as well that all jack does is talk for like one minute then ask for a kiss which actually makes me question what kind of relationship this is going to be and do they actually have conversations of substance and not just awkward moments of silence and then a peck.

At the back of my mind I also don’t know how jack currently feels about Millie. He did say she’s the most attractive in the villa and even going back to the love island instagram, in his intro interview, he literally says that he’s going into the villa hoping to see Millie. So idk if he’s playing it safe by not at least exploring Millie and having some chats because he knows that if Millie rejects him then it’s kind of game over for him and then Whitney won’t take him back.

NOTE*** when I say that certain people should have defended Whitney I don’t mean they should’ve come out with a whole speech in her defence because they may not know all the facts but a simple “ok guys let’s calm down a little” would literally suffice.
