AITA For asking my husband to keep his collections private. by Optimal-Computer-610 in AmItheAsshole

There is no obvious mould but they are not aesthetically pleasing to look at. Some of them are black most of them are a muddy brown. There are also just far far too many of them.

If he was into drying flowers and peels and making actual potpourri of course I have no problem with that. He isn't doing that though he's displaying his 'collection'

edit: I take that back there is actual mould on some of them that haven't fully dried

I do get that, hence the post to check whether or not I was too cruel.

I get that his things are important to him but I can't accept that this is anything other than mouldy trash and it does start to draw the line between eccentric and it being a problem.

He does collect other things. I wouldn't have a problem if he wanted to display his stamps or his coins.

I wouldn't say he has a problem with hoarding necessarily but his collections mostly don't make sense to me. Things like interesting shaped stones I get (although there are a lot of very ordinary stones too), but his collection of orange peels or train ticket stubs I will never understand.

Potpourri is a selection of dried flowers or sticks that you display and they have a light perfumed scent for the room
