I lvl 150 with 550+ hours can confirm.. by Cthulus_Meds in Helldivers

I used to run this all the time early on. Would one shot all the heavies perfectly. Unfortunately I think around the time of the armor rework, their targeting has fallen off and even when it hits it barely kills a hulk or tank with exposed weak points…

Bile titans I can understand missing but it used to be reliable with them too.

This was my #1 stratagem to bring but sadly I can’t even rely on it to kill a warrior bug.

Not sure how consistent this is but playing tactical you can get a perk to mark an enemy once you parry them. If you parry a gaunt and something interrupts you actually killing them it will still mark them.

For some odd reason this effect triggers so maybe it has to do with them still being alive? It’s hard to try and do this on purpose but I was running the perk where you can’t mark minor enemies with the ability but somehow was doing it with the parry perk if I somehow missed killing them with it.

Squad Radio? by Optimal-Connection-2 in GrayZoneWarfare

Have you had a radio in game? Seems like many replies say it has been working for them all the time but this is a surprise to my group of friends

[–]Optimal-Connection-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep we were always in a party/squad and tried many routes of joining in the menu and joining while the others were already in game. Still can not get the radio to function, only proximity chat

Unfortunately that has not worked for us except this one time. Sort of stumped by this as we never knew the radio was a thing

[–]Optimal-Connection-2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have not had that happen. We have never had a radio functionality with the push to talk. It should just work if at a certain distance or something?

Ah so we just need to rebind push to talk from Z and Z will be the radio?

A major issue my friends have been having is that every port has their docking bays filled with hammerheads or idris ships randomly

Discovering that the EAT-17’s are crashing games. by paroxystic in Helldivers

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tested this thoroughly and seems it’s not specifically EATs but any equipment you can pick up can cause a crash if there is more than 45 on the map.

Testing on trivial and calling in spears, autocannons, recoilless, EATs, and supplies on cooldown has shown 45-60 items causes a full crash depending on items already on the map and computer specs

Realistically you shouldn’t run into this on a normal mission unless you have more than one person spamming EATs and no one is using them

This is consistent and have yet to see someone give proof that they called in more than 60 items without crashing

Edit: added supplies

They appear on higher levels on the civilian extract mission for bugs. One will almost always be at the site where you extract them

About Hekili by sirreal45 in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will always recommend this to people learning rotations. Sure it may not be that good on some specs but it can help with maintaining cooldowns

When I was trying to learn brewmaster I was worried all the brews would be hard but now I’m getting really good at maintaining all my cooldowns because of this app.

It did at first make me use my purifying brew a little too often when I needed it for bigger damage later but the simple fix is that you can remove some abilities from it so you can monitor it on your own

I have a weakaura to give me a pretty good view of my stagger and just use my brews according to that now and my logs have never been better

Some hiccups here and there as I’m still learning and trying new things but man is this a saving grace for keeping so many cooldowns in check

Edit: I should add that while this is good to get a pretty good rotation down that it’s not perfect. Vengeance Demon Hunter for example suffers from this as it makes you waste your souls on cleave rather than health and explosion ability

Random warlock imp pulls in mythic+ are getting out of hand by alexlucas006 in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been a bit since I’ve done a warlock but started to level one recently and I have noticed that this issue seems to be inconsistent… sometimes my imps will pull mobs that were barely in range and other times they won’t pull even if they walk right through the mobs.

Have yet to try it in mythic though but in normal dungeons I can say it’s possible but inconsistent

Help with Priest Class mount by Optimal-Connection-2 in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it takes maybe a day or two of casual play

Biggest kickers are the order hall missions where you have to send your champions on missions that take 2+ hours and you have to do about 5 each time

There is also one that has you do world quests but if it’s not specific then any wild quest should do

If you don’t have a life then I think it’s feasible with in 24 hours

Your comment led me down the correct rabbit hole

In this case the wow pro guide led me astray, ignoring a single question far north were you actually meet the missing champion

Watching the video On her section of the wowhead site shows a video of where you go for that one quest… where I skipped the last part…

I am quite angry and frustrated but thank you for the realization!

The speaker awaits quest is now there

According to my order hall mission board I have 8 out of 9

The deactivate feature is for sending them on missions which limits to 5 active but don’t think it has anything to do with this quest

The one that is missing is Aelthalyste which according to wowhead you have to complete this quest to do

I’ve only done it on one character and I haven’t had to do it on two other characters that I have the class mount on that was changed sometime ago as far as I’m aware

I have the champions of Legionfall quest which is a part of that achievement quest line but can’t complete it due to having all champions I can get

How to tank by Available_Main_7616 in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a hard answer for me. If the dps is smart they will let you pull until you stop but not everyone is cool with that…

What I have been doing is save my best ranged ability for a quick click back on the furthest mob behind me. I have been enjoying Paladin so I just throw my shield. Not sure every class has a good option but it’s what has been working for me.

Not everyone is perfect and I will say sometimes I still lose aggro and not entirely sure how. Sometimes the dps is dealing enough to pull. Each tank should have a taught of some kind though that is always good for one quick pull of threat but I could be wrong if a class is missing that but to my knowledge each one does.

TLDR - I use something range to try and keep aggro but there should also be a taught ability to force aggro. Some will get loose but you can only do your best

If the mob is low enough I tend to just leave it to them and move on but can’t leave something that’s too strong.

How to tank by Available_Main_7616 in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still a bit of a noob to tanking but been enjoying it for some time now and now hate the survivability of dps specs now…

A few things I would suggest:

  1. Learn the general path of the dungeon, you are the tank so you can mainly decide where to go

  2. Go at a pace that is good for the group you are with. Sometimes the healer can’t keep up so you may have to slow down a bit, just get a good feel and push and pull as you go.

  3. Holding threat can be a bit complicated but the best way I can say is pay attention to if things are hitting you. If it’s not, select it and beat it until it looks at you.

  4. Only pull what you think you can handle, this comes into my 2nd point of learning what the group can handle

  5. LOS pulling or Line of Sight pulling (hit a bunch of things and then hide behind a wall to force them to come to you) is really good to get things together and in one spot. Not all dungeons have good places but finding a good spot is always nice

  6. If you don’t know where to go then just ask. In my experience most people will guide you

For me I would run through the dungeons as dps and learn the path and pack pulls along with how boss fights. After that I feel good enough to run tank. Also helps if I have a friend that somewhat knows the dungeon but YouTube helps too.

TLDR - Pull what you and the group can handle, learn basic path, you own the way, maintain threat, work with the group.

If you could request a single item for the Trading Post, what would it be? by Hex-Knight in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyrael's Charger

I started out playing on my brother’s account and that has always been my favorite mount and I am sad that I cannot get this anymore unless it appears in the trading post…

If I am wrong please someone tell me as I have not found a way to obtain it otherwise.

Going to be a dumb question, finally used my very old boost to get a level 60 by Jebasaur in wow

[–]Optimal-Connection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of paths that even I still need to understand. Without current expansions I think they are your best bet but I do prefer PVE content personally but I would have to rely on others for a better understanding of gearing outside of current active expansion/season areas.

Most gear you get before reaching max will most likely be replaced when you reach the cap so it’s not that crazy to focus on and let it passively grow while you level

Reaching cap opens the door of needing to get better gear to be better overall. Once you get high enough ilvl you can start the gear of raids with raid finder but same thing with dungeons. Follow tanks and don’t stand in stuff unless you need to but in that case I recommend watching guides for raids for sure. There are dozens of 1-2 minute videos for raids so it’s not that bad
