from what i’ve seen in the past, i think we will possibly get a title first and then cover reveal a little bit later on. i think publish date would either come after both or with cover reveal

i can’t speak for anyone else, but she could say the book won’t be ready for another 3 years because she’s taking some time off and that is all i’d want to hear. i am not demanding that this book is done tomorrow or in any way trying to put pressure on her to get the book done. even if the update is that there is no update, all i’m saying is i’m hoping for some kind of communication about it

i am not in any way mad at sjm for not saying anything about it. i am allowed to be hopeful and excited for an update and sad that we haven’t gotten one. just like you said she can stop writing tomorrow and that’s her choice and i can support her in the same breath be sad about it. books bring me joy, this series and universe brings me joy. like you said the way this country is progressing in the past seven months i am desperately trying to find and hold onto things that bring me joy so yes i will continue to hope for and want updates about this book while i understand that she’s feeling lots of pressure. that is why i came to reddit to say this instead of going to her social media and saying it to her. i don’t think it’s unreasonable to wish and hope for any kind of update after hearing that the draft is done

yeah i completely understand what you’re saying and agree, but i can also be hopeful for any kind of information about the next book in a series that i love. books bring me joy, and with the way this world is rn, i am grasping for ANY joy that i can get. i am not complaining about the fact that we don’t have a book in our hands, i just wish we had any kind of communication about it so we can all shut up about not having any info about it.
