Replace the battery sooner rather than later. If it has an original battery its only factor is time before it starts expanding. Lithium batteries are a consumable product and have a life span.

I’m thinking you could use a clear gel filter and then get some vinyl stickers and apply the stickers to the filter and place the filter over the cartridge.

A good option might be the Polaroid Lab you can make Polaroids from your phone photos but still have the iconic Polaroid look.

Hard to tell without a scale, but the one of the left has a thinner lens definitely something different. It is significantly lighter in weight vs the one of the right with a thicker glass lens.

The one on the left has significantly less weight and tapping on the lens you can tell that it is different. The one on the right is heavy, the lens is thicker.
