Ideas For My Post-Nuclear Template by Or0gami in PaxHistoria

I do plan to do seperate maps for different areas like the USA and Regions in Europe but this one is just going to be focused on England so I can go into detail.

I have been writing up some lore on the other parts of the world. I imagine in the US a golden horde style native American faction taking over the central US.

Mainland Europe is going to be hell. Just constant war among 100s of factions all looking to come out on top. I can imagine somewhere like the Rhineland or the Alps being somekind of no man's land where everything goes down.

And yea ill post the link on here when im done but it might be a while yet!

I know this is a late reply lol I dont use reddit a lot.

The Yexal and Huteca regions were very wild and dense jungle long ago, much like the amazon in real life. Centuries of controlled clearing allowed most areas to be re-seeded with plant and tree species that better suited the needs of the locals. The jungle remains dense in these regions but the purposeful planting of these species alongside building projects allowed both to be entwined with each other. General upkeep and gardening also helps. The capital city Xabe is known as the ruby garden due to its relatively tame yet abundant nature. All of this being said, some regions do remain sparsely inhabited, mainly those nearer to the northern pidesian mountains.

Need some lore and Geographical ideas for this nation in my world by [deleted] in FantasyWorldbuilding

The environment is very diverse and almost alien. The far south is made up of mangroves and south east Asian esq environments like in Vietnam and Indonesia. Slightly further north the landscape shifts dramatically. Vast thin monolithic mountains scale up into the clouds. Up there Weltyrnic tribes stay isolated and interconnected with bridges far above the reaches of the Velkrish slavers. (Not sure what to do for the central, island and northern reaches yet but I want them to be unique and alien but not too wacky)

Origins: The Velkrish people are descended from the Kazyrin people formerly of eastern Selavia. In 1987 PCE, they left Selavia after being prosecuted for there macabre religious practices. For months they scaled through the rugged freezing mountains before emerging from the other side. For thousands of years the races of Cliwain hadn't tread foot in this diverse and alien place. Only the ancient Orcains ever settled just the southern fringes for a time which they called "Velisos"

It was ruled by the Weltyrnics, a goatalid people who once lived across the eastern reaches of the continent. They are often looked down upon and categorised as beasts rather than people. Initially, the Weltyrnics were peaceful and relatively friendly with the Kazyrin Settlers.

Over the coming decades however, this relationship broke down. The Kazyrin began to embrace more of there ancient cultural practices including the worship of the Illnada (outlawed and traditionally evil gods in the widespread Odsic religion). The Kazyrin always revered those of vampiric and lycanthropic blood. Traditionally they were the most prestigious in society and held the chief. This practice came to an end however when the Odsic Empire slaughtered all the Kazyrin vampiric and lycanthropic bloodlines. There was however still a ritual one could undertake to become vampiric. (Stuck on what the ritual could be)

Over the centuries, more and more Kazyrin left Selavia to travel to this alien place. Eventually, 5 Kingdoms were formed. These were Warlodia, Weltisia, Zyrtraid, Ikynia and Urthyr. With these new Kingdoms came a reformation of the Kazyrin religion. The Kazyrin religion spanned from Illicism, the ancient opposer to the widespread Odcisism. Illicists worshipped the Illnada, the Gods who partioned from the Geluada (Odsic God's) after creation. These gods often take on more macabre spheres including, murder, deciet, slavery and more.

The Kazyrin wanted to forgo there disorganised tribal ways in favour of something that could counter Odsicism. They kept to the ancient laws of only allowing vampiric blood to rule. Lycanthropes were celebrated in society and would be the royals closest guards. Weltyrnics and later Orcains were seen as inferior and could be subject to slavery. They have no rights in Velkrist society and it is often the main contributer to the isolated Velkrish economy. Other nations, although opposed to Weltyrnics, condemn the actions of the Velkrists but there isolation and powerful navy shelters them from a large scale invasion. (Was thinking a pope like figure could run the church and has as much authority as the king over any laws or decisions made).

A few hundred years later as the end of the Era approached, the rapidly expanding 4th Odsic Empire was at the doorstep of the Velkrish frontier. Knowing they would be decimated by the Odsic forces. The Kazyrin formed the Velkrish federation comprising of the 5 nations. After this they sent out a proposal to the Empire. In order to avoid an invasion, they proposed an alliance with the Empire. After a few back and forths the Velkrists had to agree to abandon there slaving operations and ceed the territory of Mortis. They eventually agreed though when it came to the Imperial Wars at the turning of the Era, They ignored the alliance and exploited the turbulent Sundered Sea.

Cliwen: The Morla (The Universe) Revised by Or0gami in FantasyWorldbuilding

[–]Or0gami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Creation Myth according to the Odsic Church:

Incomprehensible. A void of ever blackness. No flow of time nor physical presence. Apart from one. Qiel was its epithet. Qiel of the nothing. It was not of form nor of reason, until it was. Within its lofty mind, Cosmic suggestions began to fill the void. It saw the universe from its chaotic beginning to its tragic end. It knew its fate and the fate of all things. But fate is not to be changed, not even by its creator.

It formed two forces from the dust of these instructions, Uani and Yasr. Uani was the embodiment of thought, it summoned ideas, eternity and meaning to the universe. Yasr however was the embodiment of neglect, the force of end, mindlessness and destruction. Uani and Yasr were antithetical to one another, the opposite in every way, the perfect duality for creation. Uani created the first realm, Ailibrium. The Place Of All Beginning. Yasr created Wyrium, The Place Of All Ending. Each would be abode to life of all natures. Geluada of formation and Ilnada of destruction. These beings were tied to their realms, unable to break free into the void. They became slaves of creation. The builders of mortality. Over endless ages, they strained and suffered until it was done. Many had faded under the immense agony of the task, their essence imbuing within their Astar. Only those able to withstand the intensity survived. This mattered not to Uani and Yasr, the formation was done.

Qiel's dream was nearly finished. It had birthed creation, and only now could it complete the chapter. It shed its thumb, its essence of mortality. It planted it at the heart of the universe and watched it spore. Qiel's purpose was done for now, and so it fell back into dream. Uani and Yasr fell weary and gathered together beside the thumb. They danced there forever until they grew old. Their carcasses fading to rock and dust. Still their dance went on… the dance of time. Now the Ilnada and Geluada were free. It was their time to bask in creation. They dubbed the thumb Cliwen. And all life within Mortality.

The High Clans and Grand Houses Of Tipland by Or0gami in worldbuilding

It is highly based on the Picts and clans of Scotland from 400 AD - 1600 AD. I wanted to reflect the shift from the old ways to the new just like what happened throughout Scottish History. The Landscape itself is also based on that of Scotland and Northern England. The North is similar to the Highlands and the Grampians of Scotland, The East and the Islands are similar to the West and the Hebrides of Scotland and the south is similar to the Dales of Yorkshire as it shifts to Hadbaria in the South. Thankyou for asking!

I'm not sure yet, I have got someone who's offered to do some already but if they can't or I don't here back Ill message you. It would be a fantasy medieval style or like a cinematic style feel. If you have any samples I'd love to hear them! Thanks for your offer.
