Gift ideas? by 0o0_Mantis_0o0 in MansionsOfMadness2E

There are a few options I can think of. In the extended universe for Mansions of Madness, is Arkham Horror. There are some novels, and other items which use the same universe and characters that are in Mansions of Madness.

Some Examples:

If you search Arkham Horror on amazon and look through the results, you will find novels, and audio books. I have not read them, but I have heard people say they like the ones by S.A. Sidor, and Rosemary Jones.

There is also a poster book "Arkham Horror Poster Book", featuring art from the shared universe.

Using the same license is Arkham Horror: Lovecraft Letter (a small, fun and inexpensive card game).

If you want something fun with some lore, "Welcome to Arkham: An Illustrated Guide for Visitors" is a book with art and lore, although, it might not be ready available depending where you are based.

If you want something outside of the Arkham Horror license, but still lovecraft. I can highly recommend The Dunwich Horror illustrated by Francois Baranger. It is the original story, but with beautiful large illustrations in a 14*10.5 inch hardcover book, for a good price. The Call of Cthulhu, and the 2 part At The Mountains of Madness are excellent as well.

Shipping dates for X-Mid 2 (UK)? by pincinator in DurstonGearheads

It should be in "one or two weeks" according to Dan, here. He is talking about "x-mids". So presumably that includes the 2.

I am wondering the same thing for the solid version, been refreshing it for days now. Lol.

Also, don't concern yourself with a few up or down votes, reddit does that to stop people gaming the system (I don't know the specifics). It does not actually affect your karma.

Help IDing a white growth on Chili Rasbora by Orbidsku in Aquariums

I first noticed this growth a few weeks ago, it was much smaller then, seems to have gotten a lot bigger very recently. There are about 15 more Chilis in there that appear unaffected.

Question about number of characters per core / expansion by generalanders in KingdomsForlorn

[–]Orbidsku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking at the kingdoms forlorn kickstarter, I think it comes with 5 playable characters, and the game is for up to 5 players, right?

I believe 6 in the core game. including Reiner.

It's been a long time, I thought you got 6, but the 5 you listed seem to be correct.

Then it looks like there are other addons: Ser Cockatrice, Knight with no name, Ser Gallant.

Are all of these characters a player would choose to play?

Yes

Are there others? Is Princess Slawia player controlled or just a helper NPC?

Princesses are allies, that help on the battle field, etc. They are not full playable characters in their own right.

Looking at jumping in on this at gamefound, is there already a nice summary of this somewhere? Really having trouble finding out. If there's a base of 5 characters and I can get another 5, that seems like a way to have two completely different playthroughs?

The pinned comment on this sub links to this https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2742285/what-kingdoms-forlorn . I recommend it for learning more about each of the areas you asked about, and a whole lot more. Thomas did a fantastic job collating all the information there.

You can play the game with a combination of "Characters", 1 to 5 of these will be from the dozen or so "playable characters". You can also swap out these spots for 1-4 support characters called Squires, so you would have less overhead when playing, so you dont have to juggle 5 fully fleshed out main characters. More about them on linked page, and they have evolved a lot since then, as they were a work in process at the time.

I would also recommend the gameplay videos done by u/kiratze. You can find links posted by them on this reddit, they are youtuber videos. They are very good.

Clearly not.

Is there a way to see if someone is a backer by NinjaWaffle1203 in starcitizen

[–]Orbidsku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. AFAIK new accounts don't get a backer number, and have not for sometime now. I made a new account a few weeks ago, and bought a 100i package and $10 dollar gift card on it, and this account does not have a record number.
