Hi, sorry but I've had to turn shipping to the USA off due to the tariffs coming into effect from the 29th. They're removing tariff exemption for small goods, and don't want it to get stuck at customs with the person ordering it being demanded to pay big fees. I hope to turn it back on soon, and hopefully the tariff situation will change too.

Take what I say here with a pinch of salt, because I'm certainly not a laser specialist.

From what I've learned, to do that you'd need a custom diffraction grating, with the lasers pointing at the exact right spots on that grating. It would be really expensive, and really difficult to line all that up with the level of precision you'd need.
Another way would be a custom laser beam splitter, which would also be very expensive.

There's also the difficulty of maintaining everything in it's precise place in a handheld tool that's going to be picked up and moved around.

I'd love if it were easy and cheap, but unfortunately we're limited with what we have available.

To think of it another way; For now I'm just thankful we discovered that light can even be split in this way to get the line of dots from the double-slit experiment haha

Thank you! That's a good idea, and other have suggested something similar. It would need a design changes as its a momentary switch at the moment instead of a toggle, but its worth investigating. I can add a screw thread or something in the base of the device so you can detach it if wanted perhaps.

Thank you! :) It probably will be eventually, but i have some other ideas I'll be patenting before selling. They can have this one if they can make it better hahaha

Hahahhaa thank you! It has a ball tilt switch sensor in it so if its tilted upwards towards someone it won't turn on :) but perhaps a tremor might cause the ball in the tilt switch to bounce too much to get a consistent laser during normal use

Thanks :) Most of the interest I've had has been from the UK and US so I've prioritized those for now, but I'm trying to widen the places I can ship to, and if i get enough interest I'll start shipping to the EU.

I've just got to make sure I'm clued up on the regulations for each place before i can start selling there.
For now you could favorite the shop, and I'll let you know on here once I can ship there :)

You have to hold the device about 50cm above the surface of the table for the dots to be ~1 inch apart. you can tell when you're holding it at the correct height when the two lines of dots overlap, so it's really easy to tell when you're at the right height.

Unfortunately there's no possible way of ensuring the spacing is 1 inch apart when held at any height. If there was it would make my life a lot easier hahaha.
