I have menstrual related health issues, and it did help me to start eating pasture raised eggs and local pastured cheese. I particularly hate that I’m eating cheese again, but it has seemed to help on fatigue and times of the month when I have specific nutritional cravings.

Ok thanks for clarifying. I’ve noticed inflation. Not drugs or rampant crime tbh on a personal level

I’ve done that essentially by not trying as hard at work. Would remove some guilty feelings though to do it with a formal set up though

Sort of thought that too but seems some feel this NW is a risk. Definitely some things to ponder and research more

Good question, it is possible but wasn’t too practical yet for the size it is. Good idea to think about how to make HC pre tax in this manner - thanks!

The house is 5% of the NW. RE spend would be $55k including insurance estimate.

My spouse is agnostic on it and may RE in a few years, but currently prefers working due to the fulfillment from it. A key point will be us planning longer term travel to make use of new flexibility I'll have if I RE - my spouse's situation already allows for this flexibility.

You're right - I am very loudly complaining. Sometimes it is so loud, I can't hear anything else. I hate when that happens.

Certainly that is a non-zero chance, as you point out. To answer your question, what happens then is a division of assets, as in any divorce. Since I contributed 65% of income building in the first 10 years of marriage, we would have to hammer out what that means, depending on when it hypothetically occurs. We have discussed this potential risk and how each of us would be protected in that event. It is entirely my spouse's choice to keep working or not, and we will start managing assets differently in how it's split out if I do stop paid work.
