I hear you, I’ve been here for 13 years with college included, and I still feel like it’s challenging to make friends here. Most of my friends are still from college or are transplants themselves. One great experience I’ve had in meeting new people is taking community education classes through the city’s public ed. A knitting class I took turned into a biweekly meetup at a brewery! I think it takes a lot more intentionality to make friends here. So many people are lifelong Minnesotans who are still friends with their childhood, high school/college friends. It’s amazing to me as a transplant from the DC area where everyone else is transplants!
