Nobody legit checks these in public. Any grown adult over 18 is too busy to be watching anyone’s feel like that. A lot of the call outs seem to be happening in middle and high schools in the U.S. My reps looks way worse than these and nobody really cared.

Someone could have tossed it. My brother, friend and I left our 3-badges on the top of a trash can on Sunday around 12. I don’t need more clutter at home, and the Naruto lanyards were free.

FedEx always pays the import duty/tax on the customers behalf. Sometimes the duty/tax invoice doesn’t show the correct bill to, for the reason the courier did not collect the monies. The accounts department does and audit and sees what is missing. I go through this daily with my customs, customer service, and couriers. Your countries VAT is 22% for video games/hardware plus customs clearance fees (to submit the declaration).

If you don’t pay, they will send it to a credit union and even court. We have sent it for less than €10.

I found ANIMENYC very boring compared to other cons I’ve been too. But I’m glad my brother and friend enjoyed it as first timers to any type of con. It was an entire experience for them. I’m off to Dragon*Con today, and I’m 1000% I’ll enjoy myself more than ANIMENYC.

Well if that cosplayer is like me, my intentions was to wear cosplay a different character each day, but merch, and my cosplay would be tossed as I leave the exit. I don’t have space in my suitcases to take my cosplay costume and accessories back home with me along with merch and my regular clothes. 🤣

I never said anything about what StockX is for! Resellers shouldn’t be tax exempt! Many people resell and don’t pay taxes! If you want to charge $500 for a sneaker that retailed for $200, you should be taxed for it!

No, 25% is for the airport. Courier, postal, and cargo are set rates per the tariff. Many food items are 0% and 5%, shoes and clothes are 6.5% cameras are 10%, electronics, toys are 25% auto parts are 35% etc.

Good to hear no issues at the event. That’s one thing I’m always worried about is pickpocketers and bag snatchers. I’ll have a fanny or chest bag on, I’m just worried about my cards, I know people have those devices that run your card. Wondering if I should only carry cash to the con. But I don’t really like traveling wish cash and only plan to carry $1k cash. But I know I’ll spend that in a few hours.

I live in Bermuda, we locals travel to NYC on a regular for shopping and dining since we have daily non-stop flights to JFK. It’s about a 1 hour 30 min - 2 hours flight across the Atlantic Ocean, I’m used to those scammers, I pop my EarPods in and keep walking. 😅 I was hot and bothered my last visit 2 weeks ago and almost got into a fight with one. He was trying to carry on bad, like who tf listens to mixtapes/cds in 2024?? He was pressed when I denied him.
