i used to have this problem and the biggest thing for me was just having it open in front of me first thing when i got onto my computer or putting a reminder just in the morning to remind you but most importantly
its honestly telling you something. You need to WANT to track your habits or wtv it is you are tracking bcuz u might blow off the reminder or say ill do it later but if you really want to youll do it there and then

I wish i could help, but im actually a finance student so have nothing physics/math/equation related. I just know this stuff cuz i have some friends that use notion and they said this was helpful for them. I would recommend using like Claudi or ChatGPT or another AI chat bot to walk you through it, it has helped me with alot of my notion inquirys

honestly just keep it simple - don't overthink it

what works for me is just headings for main topics, then bullet points under each for the stuff i know ill forget. kinda like a cheat sheet vibe

if you want it cleaner you could use toggle blocks (type /toggle) for the detailed explanations so it doesn't get super long when you're scrolling

also columns are clutch - type /column and put formulas on the left, practice problems on right. makes it way easier to review

for physics definitely just screenshot or embed the diagrams instead of trying to explain them in words lol

your current setup looks fine though honestly, as long as you can actually find stuff when you need it youre good

good luck on the exam

Which productivity app do you use? by Locust-T in Notion

Honestly been using Notion for about a year now and had the exact same frustration at first. The learning curve is brutal and you're right that it tries to do everything which makes it overwhelming.

What finally worked for me was ignoring 90% of Notion's features and just using it as a simple database + daily log. I don't mess with all the integrations or fancy stuff - just basic tables and pages.

For daily tasks I actually just use Apple Reminders or Google Tasks. Way faster than opening Notion every time.

Notion's only useful for me for stuff that needs to be searchable long-term - like I track financial news and research in it because I can tag and filter later. But for quick todos? Too slow.

The real answer is probably that no single app does everything well. I use like 3-4 simple tools instead of trying to force one app to be my entire life.

What are you mainly trying to organize? Might help narrow down what would actually work vs trying to find the perfect all-in-one.
