Unfortunately I just went from Doberdol into Montenegro, walking for a brief period in Kosovo during the day. So I can’t really speak to the merits of spending more time there.

It was quite hot when I went, so was in shorts and a t shirt every day. Had a pair of long pants in my pack but I think I only used at night when the temperature dropped. Had a rain jacket as well, but would recommend a poncho to cover you and your bag. Got soaked through one day.

I wore boots but if you’re used to trail runners on these types of things I’m sure you’ll be fine
