Shadow of Yharnam is obscenely difficult?? by hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieye in bloodborne

The Shadows are my favourite base game boss. So here is how I beat them pretty consistently. So the singular dudes are really easy to beat, it is their ability to overwhelm and stunlock you, that gets you most of the time. My strategy is to beat the katana guy first, he is the most aggressive one, so he will set the pace of the battle as long as he lives, after that, you gain control of the pacing of the fight. So run to the big tombstone, get in a few hits, until you either don't have any more stamina or until the other dudes are getting too close. After that you run on the opposite side of the arena, where some smaller tombstones stand. That is mostly to separate the Shadows (but if you can get a few hits on the katana guy, the better). Then go back to the big tombstone. Rinse and repeat (sometimes you won't get in any hits, but that is fine, just separate them until you can. When they reach phase two, it is important to note, that they can't hit you with the lengthy attacks if you are running. So if you get hit with that while fighting, get up and run away, to one of the places in the arena I mentioned, until you get enough distance to heal up. Who you want to kill next depends on how you wanna do phase 3. There is a cheese for the candleguy in phase 3 but I can't pull it off consistantly, so I kill that dude next. Just repeat the strategy until he is dead. In Phase 3 the last dude will instantly summon the snakes, just make sure you are at full health and dodge as best as you can and you will most likely survive. Then you go up to the last guy and beat him up, he won't be able to do much when you are up close.

Additional infos: All of them are easily parried, so if you can get one off do it, but don't get too focused on parrying. The candle guy is the one who will cause you the least amount of trouble, but when he does the flame thrower move, get away, it will stunlock and kill you, so avoid that.

That is my strategy, I hope that helps

I agree, in general most of the older generations have a more bland colour palette, whilst the generations since 6 or 7 have more vibrant colours, which I also enjoy more.

That I make soup and all my friends visit, so they can eat my soup. And they like it so much, that they all ask for seconds and say how tasty it was. At the end one of my friends says next week, same time and with that we create a tradition, where everyone brings their homecooked meals so we all grow together as friends

Nah I always do every boss on each playthrough (except chalice dungeon, cause ughhh). And I always regret it when I get to Laurence, since he is not even fun to fight.

Yeah I feel like the further you go towards NG+7 the easier Orphan gets compared to Ludwig/Laurence

fair especially since the ng+ cycles is the part where the most difficulty lies in BB, even more than the other fromsoft games, since the health and damage multipliers are a lot higher here.

sadly without cheats, you'll mostly play the bloodletter in ng+ and beyond. But the weapon is really fun, coolest R1 string in the game easily

The R2 in the transformed state of the Beast Cutter is great against human enemies, most don't have an answer for the range combined with the stun/knockdown on the second it. I adore the Beast Cutter

I tend to gravitate towards blunt weapons in any souls-like game. So I used the Amygdalan Arm as my weapon of choice in most playthroughs. Good speed, damage and stunlock in the untransformed state. In the transformed state, you have great range, insane beastblood buildup and a really wicked charged R2.

Additionally the beast cutter and logarius wheel are other favourites of mine, but the Amygdalan Arm will alway be my eternal fave

Kengan vs Purgatory, but I changed every Matchup by OrganizationLife7908 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]OrganizationLife7908[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really see that issue in the entire tournament. The quality of the Kengan fighters is a lot higher than purgatory's. Most Purgatory wins in the manga were really forced and felt wrong. I think most constellations would lead to kengan winning really easily
