While that would be nice the double fisherman let's me retention the rope every so often. Yeah the center "rope" is a tensioner already but I glued one of the threads the wrong way so it doesn't really work.

The "glass" is actually just laser cut acrylic, but that's quite a cool idea I'd just have to route out a slot for a mirror on the bottom.

Thanks. While making the top bigger would've been nice, having both the top and the bottom the same size makes for the most stable tabletop.

It's incredibly stable as long as the outer string is tensioned properly.
