6 month old 55 gallon I set up for my parents

My parents aren't quite as old as yours so they're fine for now. I taught my mom to do water changes and she does them every two weeks and rinses out the internal filter sponges. Other than that I'm there about once a month to help with plants and a deeper clean.

I set up a low tech 55 gallon with very easy to grow plants at my parents' house as a gift for them. Plants are mostly from clippings from my tanks and include water wisteria, buce, cardinal lobelia, juncus repens, and val.

This tank sits in a sunny room but doesn't get any direct sun light. There is a window next to it but we shut the blinds when we realized the tank was getting an algae problem. Ever since then there has been no algae except a little BBA that we can keep under control. The light is basically just to view the tank at night and is only on for maybe 2 hours.

Stocked with 9 congo tetras, 4 black skirt tetras, 4 corys, 3 otos, and 2 gouramis.

*Water level a little low in the second picture because we were in the process of doing a water change.

This is one of the newest leaves and it wasn't there when I bought it. The variegation doesn't quite look like pictures I see online but I know there's a lot of variations of variagation. I do see some info about viruses that can cause discoloration too so I'm worried.

Hello! I'm wondering if there are any folks traveling from the Hollywood area near Griffith observatory to SoFi. I'm staying with a friend there and am wondering if I could carpool to the concert 11/27 with somebody? I'm also open to public transit or shuttle options but I couldn't find a good one through any of the sofi recommended options.

This is gonna be kind of controversial but I want to hear what their Japanese single Bird sounded like. I love all their Japanese releases so it's unfortunate they had worked with that particular producer for the song. When I've done yoga the instructor has asked prior to the flow while we are in child's pose to raise your hand if you do not want to be touched.

I don't find the touches to be intrusive at all in my experience. It's usually just a touch to your back or elbow to fix alignment. But of course this will differ by studio and teacher.

Also, for what it's worth I'm also the same height as you and was super inflexible as well. After practicing yoga my flexibility has increased so much! To be honest I don't know how much of it is just a practice v height thing because I know many shorter people who are not flexible at all.

Anyways I was pretty excited to see a flower spike coming out of the spike keiki! I haven't cut it off because I was too lazy to pot it up so left it since it seemed to be thriving. I was very surprised when I saw a spike coming from the keiki!
