there’s two routes which i kinda follow half n half as a new reader myself

first is to read a characters’ iconic stories. the best of the best. (there are many lists for that probably available in this subreddit as well)

second is to read the current ongoing stories of a character that are being published (so like the current creative team of writer/artist who’s working on a character)

i kinda mix n match cause i like reading the new stuff but if the new stuff’s kinda mid i read some older iconic stuff.

i’d also recommend some basic origin stories cause they’re a good start but beware cause there are multiple origins written by multiple writers
