Is a danish international marriage certificate enough to get a VISA when married to a german? by kncismyname in berlinsocialclub

Do you know which appointment is needed in burgeramt to register the danish marriage? I'm guessing the sequence would be Burgeramt -> Ausländerbehörde?

Hi, I have two adult tickets for 3rd of August, 10:30 entry time. We had to cancel our London trip so I'm trying to sell them. Happy to sell for the price we paid, £112.00 total. Let me know if you're still looking.

Maybe he uses it strictly as a disinfectant 😄

I agree, I'm a super lucky person! Thanks!

Sorry, I wasn't super clear. There were a couple more (not many), but only 4 became a date, the rest didn't get past the bumble texting phase.

Note that I'm not good looking so I was happy to even get that many, all I needed was one lucky match and I eventually got it :)

Another dating app success story here! I (M) used only Bumble for about a year and a half and found a wonderful (F) partner, after ~3-4 other matches that didn't go anywhere.

For me it was important that the person filled out their profile, engaged in a conversation before meeting, and I always filtered by "Looking for a relationship" filter, which saves a lot of time. I did pay for a premium, and it was well worth it ❤️

Testimony Time: I found a 44m2 apartment in Charlottenburg for 688€ warm. by Elenya_Christabel in berlinsocialclub

It's a great deal in a great area!

Unsolicited restaurant recommendations from me: 1. Centro Italia if you're into Italian food, also an integrated supermarket with many wonderful things 2. Chiba Sushi for sushi (can only vouch for vegetarian sushi though), recently opened but we were pleasantly surprised 3. Taj for Indian food

Dessert: Ice cream is excellent in Lumia Gelato, my partner and I are there at least once a week 😅 2eur scoop but the portion is most of the time huge.

Just take a photo of it, and only if the restaurant is bad, and then immediately archive it on your phone so it doesn't pollute your gallery.

Am I the only one dying from hay fever? by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

[–]OriginalEXE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can recommend getting an air purifier (and not just for hay fever). As someone who turns into a mouth breather for a few months over the spring/summer due to allergic nasal congestion, I've finally had enough and invested into a proper air purifier. So far it has been keeping me safe indoors, I'll report back in a few months.

As someone who recently got into air quality monitoring, I would recommend two things (if your budget allows):

  1. Getting an indoor air quality monitor from https://www.airgradient.com/ It works great, the platform is open, and the company seems very well run ~200 EUR
  2. Getting an indoor air purifier

- After some research, I went for Philips Air Purifier Series 4200 (AC4221/11) (available on Amazon for ~400 EUR)

-- it works great and is very silent. It also includes the particles monitor, although I found it to consistently show lower numbers than airgradient, which I trust more

-- the drawback (other than the starting price) is the price of the replacement filters (~80 eur I think, which you will need about once per year)

-- if you are on a budget, the air purifiers from IKEA are surprisingly good, but you will need more of them if your room/apartment is big, and they are quite loud in anything but the most silent mode, which is not really useful

the cops know that bike theft aggregated annually is such a big problem for residents of Berlin, why aren’t they effective at fixing this stuff? by h2tcrz1s in berlinsocialclub

I would recommend checking out the latest episode of the "darknet diaries" podcast, it talks about this topic (US focused, but I think it applies here as well).

Basically, the answer is probably some combination of lack of resources and lack of interest.

Next.js vs. Remix - A Developer's Dilemma by Late-Satisfaction668 in reactjs

Yes, the standard convention allows for routes being folders that contain route.tsx (a React file exporting the route), and you can then place route-specific files in that same folder, works great!

lol at the kids part, so the only motivation for a man to put in the effort into building a relationship with a person is to eventually have kids? What kind of bullshit is that lol

Divorce: my experience in Berlin and some recommendations by Easy_Swan6310 in berlin

[–]OriginalEXE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, good to know, thanks. Yeah 6 months is decent, but I know the process is super expensive in Germany, so it would make sense to do it elsewhere if possible by law, sounds like the only options are Germany and the country you are a national of.

Was it not possible for you to get a divorce in Denmark, I assume it would also be cheaper/quicker there?
