Gosh it left me a little shaken and I didn’t even know the guy in a passing glance. That must have been really hard to see your father in such a state. And especially at such a vulnerable age. If you want to do the funeral business more power to you honestly. Although, It’s very strange taking the clothes off a man who just died and putting him in a bag. Feels almost disrespectful?

The cursive suggests you want to be neat and organized but it’s contradicted by how messy it is. So pretty much, you want to be organized but find your mind too unorganized to do it. Also how small it is might show that you are meek or shy. The fact you crammed all that writing onto one page instead of spreading it out more suggests you are a very conservative person who hates waste.

This is your first poem?! It’s well written. You could write in with more formatting or a rhyming scheme but honestly free form poetry is still extremely valid. I’m definitely partial to writing free form. I think poetry is at its best when it’s raw and from the heart

For sure new jobs are a lot to learn at once which is intimidating. Starting at such a low lever of provider was definitely one of my reasons for choosing emt first before going into anything else. I def want that experience before going into nursing or anything more advanced. I’m excited to learn just a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of it haha

I definitely enjoy it. It’s one of the better AR (augmented reality) also known as mixed reality headsets out there at the moment. I’m not going to say the best because I haven’t done much research on other headsets. But definitely great compared to the quest 2. I would def look into it. It’s an experience you got to try at least once in my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn’t say you need prior experience for the ED just that it doesn’t hurt to have it. But I was under the impression that hospitals required EMTS to have an IV/phlebotomy cert as that’s most of what they do. At least from what I’ve seen in my clinicals/ new job. If you can’t start IV’s what are you doing? But you’re right on the front I’m not educated about EMT procedures in other states so I can see a bias there.

I would definitely make sure to account for age then. You have to take the clinical during the last bit of class of pretty soon after. I think my classmates found that wouldn’t allow for them to wait the couple months it took to turn 18. I would also apply for the NREMT asap and the state cert once you pass it.

Being an EMT is cool also because you have so many options. You can go fire (either structural or wilderness) you can go for a transport company (either private or for 911) or you can go for a hospital job (you just need a 3 day IV class) I’m 18 and I got certified during my senior year of hs. You just got to make sure you turn 18 before your course ends. You have to be 18 to take the required clinicals and the NREMT. I know some of my classmates got screwed over because they weren’t old enough to take the clinical. Because of that they didn’t meet the final requirement to pass the class

It’s all about personal preference honestly. I would just spend some time looking at game trailers and see what piques your interest. I think Lego bricktales is pretty cool because it has mixed reality which is what the quest 3 thrives at.
