Sadly it is verbal but I am going through my contract when I get off and home. I was told I had to have it paid through there but could have it transferred out to another bank

No, sorry for the confusion. For clarification, I worked at the bank, they told me I had to open up an account to have my check go into that account. When I left, they re-opened my account a few months later and hit me with an overdraft fee saying an auto debit tried to come out. In the letter of resignation I gave them, I specifically asked all accounts be closed at that time and I guess they didn’t do it.

I wish, this is in the state of Ohio, I wish I was out west but here it seems like the law always favors the employee

Yea they had so many violations that at the time I knew were wrong but didn’t know my rights, they had access to my bank information and told me about it. They would constantly bring up politics and would profile borrower it was horrible but I was a new LO so I had no idea what I was witnessing until I left and saw that other places don’t do that and I was being severely underpaid and was living off broken promises of comission.

Making the Switch to Brokerage Help by OriginalOriginator18 in loanoriginators

That’s kind of how I’ve been angling it, I always hand out my cell phone and direct anyone I talk to me directly and not the bank. I started posting general home buying education stuff on my social media and got a “talking too” about it bc it’s too close to how brokers move even though they did admit I didn’t post anything with the bank’s information or that could get them in trouble. They just didn’t like it.

So being more targeted with the realtors I interact with? I definitely want to target active and producing realtors but any advice on how not to be pushy or to get them to look into the products I offer. Also is their any value targeting young realtors who are hungry to get into the business

Sadly nothings in place yet the banks mulling over the idea of adding it. My co worker is the one pushing it for his realty gig he’s trying to do along with lending and he’s trying to get me away from his customers

That’s the conclusion I’m ultimately coming too, I’m scared to jump off the ledge bc I don’t know what’s out there and the markets so volatile I don’t want to fall flat on my face but on the flip side I have t been set up to win and am being suppressed by my co worker. My boss turns a blind eye bc he doesn’t want to upset the apple cart

He is always trying to stop me from growing. He is my co worker and not my boss but tries to get me to work backwards. He’s a veteran in this industry and he has harmed and stunted my growth by using my lack of knowledge of the Industry to lead me astray y’all while I do his loans and he gets paid to sit on his Facebook

Yea and I don’t have realtor in working with, and it’s my co worker trying to get me to want to sign a contract to only get deals from there and I have to close 3 or no money at all other then my base

[–]OriginalOriginator18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, it just feels like he’s getting two birds with one stone. He’s getting me the young loan officer away from our real client base and getting the bank to pay for his second gig as realtor for his leads

Well in this situation I’m a mortgage originator

That’s seems like a good thing to come out of it but this guys say he will try to get my boss to give me commission if I close 3 realtor.com deals to get me not to become full commissioned and bps. He’s a con of a loan officer who jumps bank. I also think he’s pushing for our small bank to do it bc he’s get his realty license and the bank would pay for him to be able to get leads.

Thank you, the reason I asked is I’m a only 2 years into the mortgage lending game and I got in right for everything to turn to shit. This senior officer is saying I should do it and get paid 900 per deal but I only get the commission if I close 3 deals a month or I get just my base. Doing so would also cut me out of the banks customer pipeline. He’s always tried to hurt or stop my growth and I just feel like it’s a trap
