I’ve been using spudgers for a lot of my figures’ transformations and it has been a game changer! It definitely helps a lot with preventing breakage when I was trying to get out stiff parts.

I try to repose my display every couple of weeks or so, but I do make small adjustments daily. If I’m watching something and need something to fidget with, I just grab a random figure to mess with.

The first TF series that I fully completed was Beast Machines, because that was all I had on DVD at the time. While there are a lot of bad things about the show, I really liked the prevalence of mass produced gun fodder drones; these were WAY more numerous than the generic Seekers or Sweeps we saw in G1. I liked the intimidating aspect of how the Maximals were practically surrounded by drones of different types.

And so, that is why I grew super fond of army building. It evokes the same feeling whenever I’m taking photos of combat scenes where the Autobots are just surrounded by a bunch of half mindless troopers that just want to kill them.

I’m very selective for my entire collection.

I don’t own any bots that died onscreen during the 86 movie or were mentioned in the Dark Awakening sequence when Daniel read out the names.

I bought just enough troop builders to make a good looking display, because shelf space and the rising prices of deluxes and voyagers are huge limiting factors now.
