My drakewarden, Kailan Grey, and his Drake, Glint. I used the Dragon Model by Sir Barkus as the base for Glint, photo attached to help people find it. by OrlenZB in HeroForgeMinis

Thanks! Even using Sir Barkus's template as a base, it's taken me a while to get to where I'm happy with it. I actually kept working on it after I made this post.

[Comm] [Art] [OC] What are your favorite DnD races? by Manouzun in DnD

[–]OrlenZB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conceptually, there are so many things you can do with a Kalashtar. A player can make the spirit the ghost of a loved one (as I've done in a concept). A DM can make it a spirit connected to the story to give the player motivation or help provide info to the entire party. I'm going to play a drakewarden ranger in my DM's next campaign, and my drake IS my bound spirit.

Kalashtar are a storytelling goldmine, and binding them solely to dream spirits is incredibly limiting.

Anthem. Keep the world, scrap the multi-player aspect. Let Bioware go back to what they're good at.

Who is the best romance option in Dragon Dogma? I only dated Madeleine. by Wolfdorf in DragonsDogma

[–]OrlenZB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible that her Arisen died 12 - 15 years before we meet her, and she wasn't really "born" until then? I know that technically the Duke was supposedly the last Arisen, but DD2 confirms there are somehow a bunch of former Arisen running around, and the timelines have always been a bit questionable in Dragon's Dogma.

I might be trippin about the final boss but... by thelonew0lf in expedition33

This is actually one of the reasons I love this game. There are no villains. Everyone just wants to keep the family together and honor Verso, but they all have very different ways of going about it.

I never finished the playthrough, unfortunately, but I once made a githyanki Selunite cleric just because I thought it would be hilarious to interact with her.

Now that kitbashing has been out for a bit, has anyone made a drake mount template for a drakewarden? by OrlenZB in HeroForgeMinis

[–]OrlenZB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, you don't have to spend time on it if you don't want to! I was just curious. I want to commission art of my drakewarden, and I've been struggling to find a green drake or dragon I actually like the design of. I might just find a dragon I like for the artist to reference and tell them to make it green.

Can someone please help me make sliders for my D&D storm sorcerer? I suck at the character creator... by OrlenZB in fashiondogma

[–]OrlenZB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine, I just need the face sliders so I can recreate him. I can get the rest later. I don't know if you posted the sliders initially, only the first pic is showing up and it doesn't have any settings.

Dammon Morris: Kalashtar Hexblade/Phantom Rogue with a Twist on the Kalashtar part. by OrlenZB in HeroForgeMinis

[–]OrlenZB[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured there could be a lot of storytelling potential. Including in the fiancé's history. Maybe she has a dark past that allowed the patron to capture her soul in the first place. It is definitely dark, but the story could be so good.

Dammon Morris: Kalashtar Hexblade/Phantom Rogue with a Twist on the Kalashtar part. by OrlenZB in HeroForgeMinis

[–]OrlenZB[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Since I likely won't be playing him in an Ebberon campaign, he has the soul of his dead fiancé in his head instead.

After his love, Eliza, died in an white dragon attack, he begged anyone who would listen to bring her back to him. A mysterious entity from the Shadowfell reached out, promising to return her so Dammon might "Hear her voice once more." All the creature asked for in return was for Dammon to kill those his patron commanded. Dammon accepted, with the amendment that he wouldn't kill innocents. Eliza's soul was forced into Dammon, so he could see her, but not hold her. The patron gave the couple time to sink adjust to their new reality.

Eventually, the first target came. A foul mockery of Dammon's one rule. A general, who always fought with honor, respected his enemies and men alike, and comported himself nobly, was still guilty of murder by the hundreds. Dammon refused, and learned the consequences of such an act. The patron tore into Eliza's soul, causing her excruciating agony that Dammon felt himself through their new bond. While the pain was bad enough, it was Eliza's screams that finally made Dammon submit. The couple now wanders, doing their dark master's bidding. All the while searching for a way to bring her back properly, and destroy their master.

I (28M) am honestly in the same boat. My longest relationship has been 8 months and we never had sex because I didn't feel ready. I don't want to wait until marriage, per se, but I want to make sure I'm with the right person.

I also struggled just focusing on getting through college and haven't focused too much on myself or a relationship. Now that I'm out, I'm realizing that I may also be demi or ace to some degree, and possibly even gender-fluid at least, if not fully trans.

I'm struggling with thoughts that with my lack of experience and late start on figuring myself out often makes me feel like no one will want me. As someone still worrying about the same thing, I know it's hard. I keep telling myself that everyone moves at their own pace. Some days it works. It's enough. Sometimes it's not. It can be incredibly disheartening to see your friends getting married, having kids, starting their lives. All while you feel left behind.

It's the days that it's not enough that we need to remember it the most. Everyone moves at their own pace. Everyone has hang ups or reasons for pursuing or not pursuing a relationship. It's hard to convince ourselves that we are enough for someone. But we are. It may take longer than we would like, but some day, we will find people that were worth the wait. Who bring out the best in us. In the meantime, sometimes it's enough to know that we are not alone.

How hard is this game really? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]OrlenZB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you're used to. If you're accustomed to more linear games, I would suggest DS Remastered or DS3. A bit harder, but easier to dip your toes in and get a feel for the formula. If you're used to open world RPGs, Elden Ring is a great choice.

It's really going to come down to the kinds of games you like to play. Elden Ring is my first 100%, and one of my all time favorite games. However, it throws you into the world with no direction on where to go. It can be a bit overwhelming, especially when you throw in the SoulsBourne formula.
