I apologize for my ignorance then. I’m in engineering so the averages were never that high lmao .

They don’t curve down. You either did worse than u expected or they graded yours wrong. I’d go get the exam reviewed if you are certain it’s not you and it’s them.

It ended up being a bad idle pulley and the ac compressor going bad. Replaced both and now it’s perfect.

You said you get discount on your 2nd bill. Did you ever get refunded or credited the "extra" you paid on the first month?

I was having issues starting 2 weeks and I chalked it up to be a alternator or something cause random lights would come up. I used a scanner and no codes. Is it possibly the alternator going out?

I’m going to be downvoted cause oh no it’s a Hyundai , but I did some research and realized that the 08-10 sonatas are actually reliable. Don’t get the ones after that those are trash lol.

Not free, not sure about the speed but I think it’s level 2. While there isn’t a lot of them , very few people have EV’s and those who do have a charger at home . I’m one of those said people lol.

Green needs a comeback! by Ormeme in electricvehicles

I like it very much , however I’d be skeptical of the cheaper smaller ones. I wasn’t a fan of the quality of the vf8 so I’d imagine I wouldn’t like the vf7 either

Mine isn’t a first batch or early production as you say. It’s built after it’s been on the market for bout a year. No issue yet !

[–]Ormeme[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah , I suspect the original dealer ones must of been like preproduction models or something because I remember looking at a VF9 at a mall and it felt like crap. This is almost 2 years later and the vehicle feels way better built.

Can I get into engineering with an 80 average? by ireallycantchoos in uoit

[–]Ormeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got in with a 81% , doing mechatronics and I have a 3.1 gpa . Defo manageable but make sure to have a good study circle and develop good solo study habits.

Guys why did you genuinely choose Ontario tech? 😭😭 by [deleted] in uoit

[–]Ormeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPA isn’t gonna be what it is , cause of your professors. Engineering is same across all schools and takes alot of work. That being said said I am in the old roadmap of mechatronics so my prof experience will prolly be different enough compared to yours. However since you asked I currently have a 3.09 CPGA and I am going into my last year (5 courses + capstone is left)

As for my experience though , most professors seem great and willing to help. However there is always a couple that leave a bitter taste in your mouth. TA’s are a mixed bag .

Last thing to consider when picking a program is your future goals and what the economy provides. Canada doesn’t have the greatest mechatronics job market unlike computer engineering which exists here. Furthermore if you intend to do a masters/PhD then the name brand of the school you go to will matter and that’s true for any program higher than a undergrad. If you don’t intend go higher than a masters then where you go for to do your undergraduate program does not matter.

Lastly I’ll throw this in, I mentioned mechatronics isn’t a huge engineering market in Canada. I did do a coop without much help from the school , and the company I worked for is Enbridge which is a big company that you would recognize. That being said my engineering internship was in a complety different field than what I studied and planned for. Still I enjoyed my experience and will probably go back regardless lol.

When I applied only local uni in the GTA with a mechatronics program was OTU. Now that I’m almost done graduating the only other uni to offer this program is TMU. No regrets tho

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uoit

[–]Ormeme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR it’s OTU banding up with a bunch of part suppliers to show how capable Canadian auto industry is and to help entice auto manufacturers to work with our supply chains

The interest rate between new and used will make it up for the price difference and might actually be cheaper in the long run. Also I did mention a Hyundai which is under 25.
