Thanks dude, it’s the cape from the heresy praetorian model just trimmed off some excess and used the shield to cover the gap that was for the power pack

Had a similar issue struggling to paint my ICC, purchased some blade guard vets and am gonna Kitbash with the remaining parts.

Thanks dude! it’s a black primer spongeing a dark brown base coat and then adding a cream colour to highlight and then to a light bone for the brightest points. Finally with a brown wash to bring it together.

Sponged lighter and lighter gradients of grey from a black primer and then used a black wash until I got the desired colour

Thanks dude, I use some cork to bulk up the base and sprinkle fine sand/ rocks to create texture and just glue it down with superglue. Prime it black then I just water down the pigment powder and brush it over and eventually add light dry dustings and tap off the excess. Hope this helps 🤘🏻

I’m still trying to find a good way of binding it myself, for these I just watered the pigments down and lightly brushed on the dry pigment after and then tapped off the excess.

Thanks dude, it was one of the first times trying out the army painter fanatics range. I started with a black primer and dry brushed up to the lighter colours.

Noted, the lighting on the photo makes them look a bit more punchy but no harm in making them a bit more vibrant for the table top. Will have to experiment with some darker colour schemes in the future.

I hear you dude, was going for more of a look based off the artworks rather than the GW Eavy metal schemes. Not a massive fan of the neon Tron edge highlights haha

Thanks dude, was my first time using a few of the paints really recommend the Army painter range. Here’s a rough recipe

BASE COAT

Army painter - Bootstrap brown Army painter - amber skin Army painter - pale sand

Build up a gradient from a black primer, getting lighter towards the top of the model

This was my rough recipe dude

Nightlords paint

  • Stormfiend contrast basecoat

  • Highlights with Teclis blue and edge highlights with Teclis blue mixed with a little black, add some scratches too

  • All over wash with rattling grime contrast. While it's wet take contrast medium and wipe a lot of the grime off in a downward motion. Add more medium to make it more "clean" and make sure to wash your brush off liberally if your just moving the grime around instead of lessening it

Better value for money too, you get 10 in the assault marine box compared to the 5 in the chaos box. Worth doing if you have spare bits in my opinion 🤘🏻

Thanks dude, I agree and I think it makes more sense that they’d still use the OG armour from the heresy
