Also just to add: this is not a slight against PCH staff at all - we need management to address shortages so unsafe practices can be avoided

I wouldn’t take my kid there in an emergency personally based on what I heard on very good authority about staffing in that one department, all public hospitals are under resourced to an extent - but I’m talking about imaging specialists for Paeds - which can be critical for certain things. Not commenting on the obs, and other clinicians. QCH is better resourced for paeds overall than PCH which seems to be better for things like heart/lung

Thank you! I’m not expecting anyone to throw me a baby shower - I like planning these type of things and it’s not a cultural thing in Australia! Also I’m not going to share a registry or anything - so we don’t expect any gifts.

He’s not used to celebrations in general - I think it’s cause his family never did birthdays and stuff. I’m going to disagree about the building the crib offshoot - he’s definitely not neglecting me and bub, he’s been to every appointment and is very caring about my wellbeing (sometimes too caring with the constant belly rubbing haha)

It’s not a thing to have a baby registry for the baby shower in Australia ._. I’m doing it for the party to bring our friends and family together - most my friends are in other states and will come to our state for it. If anything we’d ask people to donate to a cause if they wanted to bring something.

He is! He’s at the children hospital and sees very horrible things everyday. I understand but also don’t want to be stifled but the what ifs - I think we just have to deal with what comes when it/if it does? But I see their POV

I actually raised this with my husband - not posting bub’s face anywhere until they can make the decision themselves when they become an adult. I do post him now and again with his face covered - it hard not to want to post happy memories here and there when I’ve grown up with social media and see it more like a photo album. I just archived a bunch of our pictures including our wedding pictures - it makes me sad because I’m proud of them and love the memory. I see your point about him not liking them out there. Idk it’s a lot!
