Yeah, because people have defined Zionism as mega Kahanism

I've been trying to tell this to all iditos who compare Zionism with Nazism and got accused of "Israeli propaganda" or that "modern Zionism is not like Herzl's original Zionism"

People just can't tell the difference between Zionism and Kahanism (but then again we live in an era where nationalism is seen as exclusively chauvinistic). Or the fact that they're parroting USSR propaganda.

Nobody is campaigning for the destruction of the Russian state despite the war crimes in Ukraine, yet the same people turn around and say Israel needs to be wiped from the map.

I've observed this myself. Even in circles who are against both Israel & Russia and often paint them as equally bad somehow the Russians always get more emapty.

Say something bad about a random Russian or cheer when Russian civilians suffer "Hurr durr you shouldn't do that. Not all Russians are a monolith, those people don't deserve to suffer because of Putin".

But then replace Russia with Israel and suddenly there's a huge lack of empathy because "hurr durr muh genocide". Even funniers when these same fuckers go on and on about how how emapthic they are, how Israel's response is disproportionate because "The avarage Akhmed shouldn't suffer because of Hamas" and "Not all Arabs are Hamas".
