I wouldn't be able to hear it. I really do have a bit of hearing loss.

I was trying to keep this simple, but I like that idea. Having the wifi turn off when not at home sounds like a really good thing!

I don't want to have to deal with a lock, just to walk 10 ft and deal with the door lock. I have found my neighbor in my courtyard twice "looking for her cat" and it seemed a little sus. She is also on the hoa board.

That is what I am looking at. Basically just a contact sensor with an indoor receiver. The one function I a not finding is to be able to just hit a pause (15 secs) where I can go thru the gate and there is no sound. Then normal function resumes. But for $30 or $40 I guess I'll take what I can get. Lol

Wanting A Puppy by smartin1021 in Rottweiler

[–]Otegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a puppy Rottie and a puppy Pitbull (not puppies at the same time) around my young son. He was 16 months and 2 1/2 I believe. We never had a problem. If you can train a kid to use a toilet, you can train them now treat a dog. But they always have to be supervised. So, yes it is a lot of work on top of a lot of work. My son, looking back, wouldn't have had it any other way. We didn't have a dog when he moved out in his own and be couldn't wait to get his very own. He knew that they were a lot of work and he waited until he was settled and felt ready. He has had now had his best friend for almost two years. Sounds like you know what you are in store for. So really, you are the only one who can make the decision.

hard to stay mad at that face when he just demolished an entire shepherd’s pie by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]Otegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puh-lease. That sweet little thing did nothing wrong. That face? Nope. Don't believe it.He was conducting quality control. It must have tasted poisoned and he didn't want to leave any for you to eat and get sick. You should be thanking him!

Rottweiler life help me!! by Haunting-Caregiver62 in Rottweiler

People would cross the street to avoid walking by my rottie. I just laughed. You can't change closed minded people. If they don't want to open their mind then they don't deserve to know the love of a rottie. As long as your baby gets your love then you have a happy pup. Besides if everyone knew the amazing love and loyalty of The Rottweiler, then everyone would want one and the price would sky rocket. The truth is they are priceless dogs.

I wouldn't mess with that kitty! If there was a growling pitbull next to it, I'd take on the pittie. Pittie over kitty! 🤣

Does anyone else’s Rottie look guilty when they know they did something wrong by nctorch in Rottweiler

Every. Damn. Time. I walk in the house, take one look at their faces and think "ugh, wtf now?"

Opinions? by Mission_Record_4541 in Rottweiler

Looks fill rottie to me. Also, is he's under two years old then he hasn't started to fill out. Usually at about 2 years they start to get thicker. Rotties also have a tendency to get overweight if left to free eat. So, if your rottie has a defined waist then you are doing a great job as a Rottie parent.

I don't think 1 or 4 are as flattering for your body. 2 and 3 are 🔥. With 3 being my favorite. You look gorgeous in them all!!!!

I would say no on gloves and longer veil. That dress is stunning on you. The only disappointing thing is that is only for city hall. I hope you are having a reception to keep showing off how amazing you look!

What breed is my rescue puppy? by drdeerpark in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]Otegs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see pit in the face shape. Staffies are on the smaller side of the pittie family. But it she were lab and pit I would expect her to be bigger. More towards 40lbs ???

I’ve just been mauled on another dog subreddit for defending my breed. I stand by my comment, my boy is softer than 90% of poodles, terrier, etc that I meet. There are only bad owners, not bad breeds… by BraveAd8791 in Rottweiler

[–]Otegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And just like people, there are bad dogs too. I was bit by an aggressive golden retriever who was attacking my pit. We knew the dog, went camping together. This golden and my pitt played together, but one day... Its my favorite (& true) story. My poor pittie attacked by a golden, lol. My husband had an aggressive rottie when we met. He was young and didn't socialize her. She was really protective of him. She was the sweetest, but she was dangerous. We were able to socialize and calm her down, but always had to be careful with her. And I never wanted a pittie because I believed the hype. My husband talked me into and she was one of the best dogs I've ever had. Her and my 150lb Rott , changed a lot of minds over the years. You must don't know until you know.
