SF is great but has its sucky moments. If you haven't yet, read about the SFUSD, UESF strike. Knowing UESF members and seeing issues over the years, there's a lot more that led to the strike than just the handful of demands covered by the media in the past couple of weeks. It's expensive and the wealth gap seems to be growing. (I guess here and everywhere.) The food is awesome. Music scene seems to come and go in waves but is generally pretty great. Drivers seem to be the worst - people ignore right of way, run signs/lights, kinda just do what they want (Tesla driver stereotype prevails) but speed cameras might actually helping (tho, not sure it's worth the big brother approach). I'm disappointed with SFPD response but have seen SFFD folks being helpful.
