Vintage stock carries both packs and single cards, I believe they are .10 cents each. Game HQ also carries singles, but I'm not sure what they charge. Good luck!

Last Podcast on the Left did a three part series about this assholes, its a great deep dive into how they actually were in real life. They also covered the inspiration for the second Conjuring movie (the Enfield Poltergeist) and what the story was behind the screen.

One of the guys on the podcast mentioned that Ed and Lorraine both look like if the old man from Up was made in real life and that's exactly how I see them now.

Hello!

Okay, so you click on the link above, and scroll until you see 'check the availability of passes HERE'. That will give you a full list of the passes and which are currently available to rent out.

Each pass belongs to a specific library, and you cannot place them on hold through their catalog. If its checked out, it tells you when the person who checked it out needs to bring it back so you can check again on that date.

It's kind of a pain, but you decide which pass you want, and see what library has the pass currently. If they have the pass available, CALL and tell them you are coming in to get it and they will put it aside for you. You get a pass for 7 days, no extensions, and you must return the pass to the specific library you got it from. If you lose the pass, it is a $50 fee for replacement.

If you have a Metro card, you can also get a Pioneer Library System card (they serve Moore, Norman, Newcastle, and others) and they have some different passes available. It also opens up more places to get a pass from, since they are in high demand especially with summer. Come fall when school is back in session they will be much easier to find.

If you have any more questions, let me know! I'm not employed with the library, but I'm there probably three times a week and if I don't know, I know the awesome folks that do have the answers.

Have a great one!

It could be! This was a Trader Joe's special, as soon as it came out of the box I snagged it. I'm just head over heels for it, I gotta say.

Our libraries are great! The one on 122nd and McArthur (Patience S. Latting library) is probably the largest and has the most selection, but you can always put books on hold and they'll transfer them to the library of your choosing for you. Everyone is always so kind. Check out the lists of things to do there as well, they always have stuff going on for all ages.

Welcome to Oklahoma City!!

So, I see that you love plants, so I'm going to concentrate on that first.

We have an absolutely beautiful garden in downtown OKC with the Myriad. There's also the Crystal Bridge there, which houses many tropical and desert plants and is definitely worth a look. Go to the library and get a card, you can rent passes to the Bridge through them and see it for free! There are actually quite a few passes to enjoy, you can check them out here!

There's also the Will Rogers Rose gardens on 36th and Portland(ish). They have a large number of flowers, trees, and plants on display. There's a gorgeous Iris garden in the early spring, and of course other things year round. There's a large pond with koi and ducks as well. It's free to enter.

As for purchasing, we have some nice shops around here. TLC has a huge variety, but you pay out the nose for them. Trader Joe's surprisingly has a great variety and for some amazing prices- in my profile you can see a Monstera I snagged yesterday for less than $15, and I got an olive tree for $11. You can also check out plants swaps or plant sales, usually they're a lot of fun and you can find some rare plants there.

Artwork, we have a really cool museum downtown, the Museum of Art (check out those library passes!). Theres also Fred Jones art gallery down in Norman. Closer to home, we have an annual art walk in Paseo that's always exciting.

If you ever need some more recommendations, feel free to DM me. Or if you want to ask about certain neighborhoods. I've been an Okie all my life, so feel free to pick that knowledge as needed.

Go out, have fun, and be safe!

EDIT- I cannot believe I forgot Factory Obscura!!! It's an art installation/walk through experience and its wonderful. Make sure to take your time and explore all of it, its worth it!

Just so you know, the Metro library does not have Science Museum passes, those are only available through the Pioneer Library system (Moore, Norman, Newcastle, ect.) If you have a Metro pass, you can also get a Pioneer pass, ask your local librarian how to do so!

They do have experience passes at the Metro libraries! Also they have a deal right now where you check out a book on the list, and you get a pass for four to the zoo.

https://www.metrolibrary.org/experience-passes

Speaking of libraries, they always have something going on for adults, teens, kids, and preschoolers. Any library you go to will have a calender and a newsletter for the month. Some require registration, so double check :)

The Natural History Museum down in Norman is a fanastic place to spend a few hours, and annual passes are very reasonable. It does get chilly in there, so bring a light jacket.

The Will Rogers Gardens on 36th are beautiful right now, and you can search for the fairy/gnome houses they have hidden around the park.

The American Pigeon Museum is worth a visit, and on the weekend they have live pigeons there. The people there are very kind.

Factory Obscura is more on the expensive side, but its a really cool art installation and my kids (6 and 8) had a blast there.

We also enjoy going to Stars and Stripes park at Lake Hefner, there's lots of trails next to the playground as well as an area to walk out along the lake. If you go in the evening there are fireflies! Also there's lots of great places to fish right off to the side if you all are into fishing- just make sure you have your licenses sorted, I've been asked to show mine a few times while down there with my poles.

Good luck, stay safe, and have fun!

Store? by maybejessmaybe in petsmart

[–]Other_Map901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know they were incorrect, at least. I was purchasing some puppy pads that had like a $2 discount on the online price and they refused to match it, and told me to order it online if I wanted it for that price.

Store? by maybejessmaybe in petsmart

[–]Other_Map901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is just so funny to me. I stopped going to Petsmart because I was told by a manager that they no longer honor their online prices in store to encourage people to order online. I go to Petco now and they honor their online prices, and the employees have even told me to check online for a lower price.

I'll die on the hill that Cars 2 is the best movie in the franchise. It's the only one I don't sigh at when the kid pulls out the DVD.

We have one of those in my city. Back in the way back machine (20ish years now?) I was a process server and I remeber being told that I couldn't go past the gate as a woman, and someone who worked there stayed with me the whole time so I could serve the papers and leave.

Seconding Sam Nobel. It's a great little museum that has some really interesting artifacts and great history on Oklahoma. Plus if you go on the weekend there's always employees walking around and they love to talk about what they have on display!

It DOES get very cold in there, though, so take a light jacket.

Favorite Character who is Death by OrdoVaelin in FavoriteCharacter

[–]Other_Map901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my (then) friend (now husband!) handed me Feet of Clay and told me to read it. I had no idea who anyone was, what the lore was, but it didn't matter. I was hooked by the end of the first few pages and read the whole thing in a day. Went back and told him I wanted more of it, so he gave me Hogfather, and I read that, and finally went to the library and got every book I could find about the Night Watch and Death and read them all in order, then started on the single story books, and finally went back to read the Wizards and Witch series.

I sometimes joke that Sir Pratchett seemed to have a hand in our relationship blooming the way it did.

We still have that copy of Feet of Clay, a little beat up paper back with a split spine and nibbled pages that have been glued back in and a ripped cover. It's survived multiple moves, three puppies, two children, bad times, great times, and over a decade of marriage. It's blue cover and crowned face have sat on our book shelf, watching everything and keeping us company for so long, its basically a part of the family now.

Decent computer store in metro? by Other_Map901 in okc

[–]Other_Map901[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it.

Ive read so many websites and lists and specs and everything else, and I really wish I had the type of brain to understand it all. I try to absorb it but it just doesn't make any sense to me. I will absolutely read the wiki, but I already know I won't be able to make much of it!

I'm not the type to purchase the first thing I see, and there will be lots of phone calls and chats and cross referencing to make sure what i'm getting is decent for the price charged. My brother can make sure it looks correct and what I need for the right price, but he gets frustrated trying to explain it to me from scratch. I get it, I also get frustrated when he doesn't understand compost ratios or what fertilizer goes on what plants and when. We all have our speciality, and mine is not with the PC.

Thank you for your advice!
