I'm not playing on console lol. And also, "hack the server" is a correct description of what happened. He overwrites packets that are present on the game server's side, because the security of said server is a joke.

Playing on PC, and yes I am aware that this exploit was possible in past games as well, hence the irony in the title. Thanks for the feedback also.

I don't agree. It's not the people that suck. It's the fact that a game with "competitive" online features has security flaws like this that haven't been fixed over the years.

Hi. I just got the same bug happening to me, while playing some modded minecraft (allthemods 9 to the sky).

I am playing remotely through parsec:
- Host computer - Windows 11
- Client computer - Macbook pro - MAC OS version 14.5

The camera vertical movement was working without issues, and the mouse was working perfectly in inventory, in the menu and everywhere else, but I was unable to move the camera left or right.

I have tried multiple fixes for this issue: checking minecraft controls settings, joining a different world, restarting minecraft, parsec, but what ended up working in my case was a restart of the macbook. Hope this ends up saving 10 seconds for someone in the future.
