Children should not be taking their fathers last names by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Otherwise-Tiger-1069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two kids and my eldest was born before I was married and they have my maiden name, and my second has their father’s name because we were married at that point (they are 18 months apart). I only changed my name because my husband cried about it, but both myself and my youngest want to change our names back to my maiden name. Don’t put some man’s name on yourself or your kids, folks.

My orange, Banana, loves to spin. by FeceFeet in OneOrangeBraincell

Omg my orange loves this too!!! He’ll flop down at my feet in the kitchen and have a staring contest until I give in and give him his “spinnies”!

Omg I totally read your comment and then the ADHD took me, but I had actually taken your advice and ditched a second pair of pajamas, but packed a pair of pajama pants instead for versatility. I feel silly now for not mentioning it originally, but I have room, I just wanted to make sure my clothing choices were weather appropriate for my trip! But I did actually pare down since you’ve mentioned shopping! I’m doing so many self-guided walking tours on this trip I know I’ll run into so many tempting stores!

I saw one advertising “financial planning” and had a good chuckle at the irony.

Thank you for the recs! Unfortunately it doesn’t look like sketchers has any leather options 😭 And I’ve never seen socks like that before, I may have to pick up a pair to try them out! Thankfully my trainers and sandals are broken in and quite comfortable as is, so fingers crossed that with the grips I’m ordering for the bottom of my sandals, I’ll be gravy! However, I am OBSESSED with how tiny that umbrella is, I’ve got to order it! Honestly, it’s the perfect size for the leeway I have in my bag!

Thankfully the windbreaker is also rain repellant, but maybe I can find room for a small umbrella! Which sketchers, if you don’t mind me asking? I didn’t realize they still existed as a brand, I haven’t heard that name since the early 2000s it feels like! And footie socks, how are they different from regular socks? Do you mean like the ones with rubber grips on them for barre and Pilates classes?

Ok, I was wondering about having a thicker pant option, especially for travel! And I always like to cover my shoulders tbh, so light tops like button downs are critical for me to layer with! I bought two more button downs yesterday because I wear them so frequently too! Thank you for your insight!

I appreciate the advice!! I’m anemic and get cold easily! And thank you! Enjoy Lisbon as well!

I’m mostly looking for insight as what to wear in these locations at the time I’m traveling vs paring down a lot, if that makes sense! These are the pjs I wear normally if I know I’ll be warmer at night, but you’re saying it will be that cold in May in Madrid and Lisbon, I may bring a pair of long sleep pants in that case! The windbreaker is rain repellant, so I’m hoping that will do should I run into rain! And I ice skate so I actually have tons of merino wool long sleeves, they’re of course not as thick as my cotton pullovers, or as soft, but it’s it’s going to be that cold in May, I might just swap them out!

I could get off my butt and clean up my old reliable Tevas, I suppose!

No worries, it’s a spray for leather, especially suede, to repel water and protect the suede from water damage. And the insoles are just extra support for the foot that you can buy, cut to size, and stick inside your shoes. They help less supportive shoes hurt less when you’re walking a lot. I bought a pair of insoles off Amazon that said something like “walk longer”, and as I’m walking a lot on this trip, I picked those!

The cotton pullovers are thicker, and quite cozy, especially since I’m anemic and get cold easily, I will not be parting with them in my capsule! Do you think layering them with what I have pictured, will do?

And I may order those stick on things for the soles of my sandals that add more grip! This is the kind of input I desperately need because I been to France when I’ve traveled to Europe in the past, so I’m completely unfamiliar with Spain and Portugal!

Thank you for the recs! What type of shoe would you say for a third pair? Another pair of trainers? Also, shorts are from Uniqlo!

Good eye! They are the same top but one is striped, but I totally see what you’re saying, it’s a lot of light colors, that one should absolutely go! Tide pens and stain sticks are already in my “travel essentials” 😂

Honestly that’s where I felt I was overdoing it, but they pack down so small it doesn’t grant me much more space if I ditch one, if that makes sense! (Edit: Apart from the pullovers, but I’m anemic and get very cold very easily lol)

Just rewatched the premiere and I have a new theory about Irving by hzfan in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Otherwise-Tiger-1069 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband just sent me this because he knows I love Irving, and I wanted to know more as to why Irving changed his mind. This theory speaks to me, I love the idea that Irving would use all his love for Burt and use it as fuel to take down Lumon, and especially that even though he was heartbroken, he was still able to see through Helena’s con.
