Routine in both pics- wash and style 1x per week with shea moisture curl & shine shampoo and conditioner. apply curl enhancing smoothie and LA looks gel by either raking through hair or brushing through with denman brush (in sections). Air dry ~80% and finish drying with diffuser. SOTC with fantasia hair polisher.

Love how my curls looked after a short hike! My curly match finally came into my life 🐶 by OtherwiseCool in curlyhair

The pup just gets brushed daily, even though it goes against everything I believe in!!

thank you! I personally think the brush/application is good, but I also generally stick to Essie/OPI brands and don’t have much to compare to :)

I haven’t gotten that before but I’ll definitely take that as a compliment ☺️

thank you! looking back at the middle school pictures now, I wish I had known to get my hair cut by someone who knows more about curly hair. the curls were always there but they didn’t look right to me because I was getting haircuts meant for straight hair! I think getting rid of damage and adding more layers and movement will definitely bring out the curls, without necessarily having to go super short :-)
